La Famiglia Italian Restaurant Located by The Destin Walmart

La Famiglia! It means “The Family” in Italian. We just found this amazing Italian restaurant where we were treated more like royalty than family. The most authentic food and atmosphere, the classiest staff with very strong Italian accents bonus , Food! Was! Outstanding! I am in love with this place! It blows every other restaurant within a 50 mile radius out of the water! I can’t say enough great things about this restaurant!

First off shout out to Bonitall she will exceed your expectations with her amazing service. Best service my wife and I have had since we've touched down in Destin. Pizza was for real/My wife's lobster risotto was made and tasted excellent I highly recommend this place we will be back. Great service great authentic Italian food.

It was tasty! I feel bad having not been able to each the full meal, and appetizer. Server was pleasant. I’ve been here before and have been dying to return, not many people are fond of the place but I like it! Only downside was no strawberry tiramisu… will be back to get some eventually. Thank you for being kind to us while serving us a nice meal!

AVOID THIS RESTAURANT! I chose this restaurant based on the reviews but I was wrong. Hopefully this doesn’t happen to you as well. 20 minutes after we ordered they tell me they were out of the Gnocci. I remained flexible and ordered the lasagna. Attached is a picture of what I received as a “lasagna”. My son ordered Fettuccine Alfredo. Attached is a picture of what my son received. No Alfredo Sauce, dry, and no flavor. According to the waiter/server, he brought up the issues to the kitchen personnel however, NOBODY came to address our concerns. I ended up walking to the counter/bar in order to pay my check since nobody was coming to charge me.

one of the best places i’ve ever eaten at—not just out of italian restaurants either. GREAT food and atmosphere. even the complimentary bread was heavenly. a lovely performance from a sinatra tribute artist as well.

Highly recommend this family owned Italian Restaurant!! Everything was amazing! Pizza, pasta dish, and the loaded down calzone!! Son obviously loved the rich chocolate dessert!

They serve an incredible chicken parmesan. Home made sauce and a lot of it. Two huge pieces of chicken. The Chicken Penne with vodka sauce was delicious as well. The Frutti de Mare was good but lacked scallops. If there were some, we didn't taste or see them. Service was good. Will return.

We love this place and come here every vacation. You can taste the love put into the food and the sangria is on point! And my daughter, who WILL NOT eat bread, loves their bread!

This place was amazing! When you walk in it’s clear to see this is a family owned restaurant, authentic Italian for sure. My wife and I were treated like famiglia! A special thank you to Francesca for going above and beyond. Even though she was very busy running the restaurant she paid great attention to us and every table the entire time. We live 8 hours away but we will be sure to be back for our next visit. 10/10 recommend

My family had a wonderful dinner here. The service was a little slower that usual but it was a busy night and the servers took time to visit with each table. They truly seem to care about there customers and the experience they have. Whether you are a first time patron or a regular your will feel Like part of the family. The live music was very nice and set the atmosphere with rat pack Era songs. On a side note I usually take reviews in the destin area with a grain of salt because people come from all different backgrounds and may never have had authentic cuisine not to knock anyone but if you consider spaghetti in a can Italian food you shouldn't be leaving reviews. I will say if you enjoy authentic home cooked Italian cuisine you have to stop by LA Famiglia your won't be disappointed the whole experience was top notch. BTW you can call ahead with reservations unlike many place in destin. Happy eating.
