I dont post 5 but for central Illinois, this is authentic!! Seriously HOMEMADE tortillas. Everything was exceptional. Customer service was good. Check em out if tired of fast food.

I ordered 4 takeout dinners and 2 bakery cookies. Great service and great food. Enjoyable conversation with another customer while waiting for food.
Tacos are delicious. Cash only, order at the counter or choose baked items from their case and pack in boxes from self serve area. I got chicken tacos and she asked if I wanted cilantro. I received a piping hot chicken taco with fresh cilantro on top and fresh onions. There was tasty sauce for them at the table and glass bottles of soda in the fridge. We got pastries to go and they were good too. Get at least 2 tacos because they are small and delicious and come on about a 6" hot, soft shell.
They do not have sides to go with the sandwiches and the menudo had no flavor, such a small bowl and they put a giant bone in it, so there wasn't much meat.
This is authentic Mexican food. It's a great little mom and pop shop. They have fresh baked goods and they keep some in a warmer so you can get fresh warm Mexican donuts and cookies. But the food excellent and very reasonable. If you're in beardstown check out the Mexican restaurant

My favorite Mexican food in Beardstown and most everywhere else. The bakery is a very interesting Plus. Donuts are much better than American made, once you get used to "less" sugar. Breads are great. Highly recommend Enchiladas Verdes for dinner! It's a quaint, little diner with limited seating, about 6 small tables. It appears they do a big Call-in/Carry- Out. NO liquor and NO Credit cards. Worth bringing cash.
Exceptional service and delicious food! I'd recommend everything on the menu. The tacos do not compare to any restaurant around. Everything is home made, including the tortillas and their savory pastries!
