This location is much better than the other 2 I go to Atlantic station and by the battery. Positives: things actually work, equipment is not so beat down, better crowd, weights are put back, heavy bags, much cleaner. Complaints would be there’s no kettlebells, the large training area barely gets used and takes up so much room, deadlifting is difficult with hexagonal plates. Very crowded bench area- but that’s everywhere.
This location is very busy most of the time, but the staff does a great job of keeping everything clean, neat, and sanitary. Members at this location are also courteous when it packed so everyone gets their workout in.
It's good but it's always crowded can't find an empty machine, also there are some missing attachments like small rope and bars that should attached to the trundle
The staff is nice and is generally clean. Also dudes, if you sit in the dark sauna, you're bound to get some action. Guaranteed!
My biggest wish for this location is that they remove the personal training fitness section. The personal trainers primarily use the equipment in the gym while training clients so I really don't understand why such a large closed off section is dedicated to their training. The free weight section of the gym is always packed and if you want a bench your odds of catching one are pretty low. I think the gym would be much more efficient if they remove the closed off PT section and add more free weight benches so it's not a competition to get one. The positive is that the employees are more friendly than most other locations nearby and the gym is always clean.
I love this particular LA Fitness due its wide array of efficient equipment and cleanliness. Despite its spaciousness, it can get a tad crowded during lunch rush and early evening but still not bad. The patrons are a nice, diverse mix of every stripe and lifestyle. Lastly, its location is optimal since you are walking distance to many shops, restaurants, banks, and Kroger!
The staff at Ansley Park’s LA Fitness is extremely friendly. It’s my preferred LA Fitness in Atlanta. My only complaint is that the locker rooms can get really dirty, especially on weekends. Also, and this is true at most LA Fitness, people don’t put their weights away. If you’re strong enough to lift it, you’re strong enough to put them away.
The cancellation process is extremely convoluted and LA Fitness has been taking money from me for months. I've requested to cancel but I get many ridiculous responses from employees and staff that I'm not able to cancel online nor in person. When asked if I could cancel in person on a Saturday, they told me that I wouldn't be able to cancel until during the week. Not only that, but they said that they could only cancel when their manager was present between 9-5 which is difficult for me because I am working those hours and can't get off work and I live far away from any LA Fitness now. They said they couldn't do anything for me except to go online to print a form to mail it in to the corporate office to cancel my subscription. After some discussion with the highest level person at the gym, they were only able to print the form for me and still requested I send the cancellation request via mail. I went home and did this immediately. No confirmation that they cancelled my request and noticed they've still been taking my money for several months now. This is after I requested to cancel early in the pandemic only to tell me that they'll put my membership on pause instead. They released that pause and didn't inform me that they're continue to charge me. At a minimum, they need a confirmation email of the charges to make their customers aware of this. I absolutely do not recommend using LA Fitness unless you want to cancel by having your credit card company decline their transactions. I've reported this to BBB to ensure others are aware of the inability for customers to cancel.
We love this gym! I joined the LA fitness global membership online only to find almost all the local locations had closed down Kids Club. Thankfully this location has kept it and my 16 month old daughter loves going! We love Ms. Lisa, Ms. Jasmine and all the front desk staff, thank you all for making our visits so fun and for taking such great care of my daughter while I am able to get a workout in.
A bit tired. Hasn't been refreshed or renovated for years. Got everything you need tho. Day pass is pricey @ $20.
