The worst La fitness in Orlando. Machines are always broken, place is always dirty, and weights /others materials always left randomly throughout the gym. No care from employees. All other La fitness/ esporta have have nice renovations and or upkeep.
Barbie and Shikha are the best! Great customer service, the gym has a great free weight and dumbbell section. I love boxing here, the heavy bags are perfect
I have been a long-time, loyal member of LA Fitness, with a solid 15 years of association under my belt. I'm sadly writing this review to share a thoroughly disappointing and unfair experience at your Winter Garden, Florida location, which has shaken my faith in the club. On September 8th, 2022, I was denied entry by the front desk staff named Alexis, due to not having my key tag on me. I informed her that I was a member of 12 local gyms and it wasn't feasible to always carry every single tag with me, yet she didn't budge. Another employee, Sandy Cologne, then joined the scenario, repeating the same policy, but with an exceedingly rude demeanor. I was taken aback by her tone when she said, "do you understand me", which was in no way professional or courteous. I asked why they couldn't manually check me in as done by other LA Fitness locations and other gyms. This reasonable request was met with a shockingly hostile response, leaving me lost for words. I attempted to escalate this issue to corporate via a phone call, hoping for a resolution. To my dismay, the person on the line seemed to be unconcerned about the matter. Things took a turn for the worse when Alexis accused me of being intimidating and causing trouble, a charge that I find to be discriminatory and utterly groundless. From the get-go, it seemed that I was treated differently, and not in a good way. I am deeply saddened that a fitness brand that I've been associated with for 15 years, a place that I considered a second home, would employ and tolerate such blatant disrespect and discrimination. It's alarming to know that these are the faces greeting members and prospective members at this location. As of now, I'm still deciding on the course of action regarding the discrimination. However, I want this review to serve as a notice of cancellation of my long-standing, prepaid membership. I no longer wish to be associated with a brand that condones such behavior. LA Fitness, I implore you to seriously consider the kind of representatives you hire, for they shape the perception and experience of your brand. I hope my unfortunate experience can act as a wake-up call for the necessary changes to be made. Please respect my decision to discontinue my membership and refrain from contacting me for renewal. Furthermore, ensure that no future charges are applied to my card. This entire episode has been unpleasant, to say the least, and I hope no other member has to endure such treatment. To potential members considering this location, I advise you to think twice. The workout equipment and facilities may be top-notch, but the customer service, or lack thereof, leaves much to be desired.
This is by far best gym I’ve been to in quite a long time. The Zumba classes are to literally one of the best I’ve ever attended. And may I just say, the cleanliness is a 10-10 for sure! Just signed up for a family plan membership and it was definitely worth it!
Elizabeth helped me get set up, and she was so sweet. I had a three day pass and the gym has everything I needed - plenty of free weights, weight racks, cable machines and I love the sauna. Thanks guys
This location used to be a fantastic place without hearing any complaints from the members. But gradually it has declined tremendously in cleanliness and weights scattered throughout the facility. I have complained endlessly to management but to my surprise no efforts were made as far as enforcing members to actually put the weights where it belong or having their own staff clean up by putting weights back. If you need a pair of specific dumb bells, it becomes frustrating to hunt for it throughout the gym. Sad to say that this place is about to loose a large percentage of the members due to the new gym opening soon in the area. However, they need to reconsider management and who they select to carry this title as not everyone fits the management role. Management and staff has a no-care attitude and I truly think this place has potential but with the right person to handle the management role. Recently, Elizabeth Kull, has joined the team here at this location and I truly believe she has exceptional management skills to simply turn this place around. By far, without a doubt, she is an excellent candidate for the management position as I am aware the previous manager was fired. The assistant manager and some of the other staff members has a poor professional can-do attitude that it's questionable how they landed the role they are in. So I highly recommend considering Elizabeth Kull for the management position.
I have been a member for almost eight years; I recently had a question about the gym and met with Elizabeth Kull. Not only she answered my questions, but she made me feel welcome at the Winter Garden gym, unlike my previous experience. If you are looking for a gym or have questions, I recommend speaking with Elizabeth.
Although this is probably a great place to work out, the customer service is terrible. They do what they need to to get you to sign up. I wasn't given all the information needed. I was told I had a 30 day happiness guarantee and that I could cancel for any reason within 30 days, however, when I cancelled they told me I wouldn't get any money back because I didn't go once a week for 4 weeks. WTF is that! Ridiculous. I know that I will be angry for a short time, but I will never forget to let everyone know who ever thinks of joining this place that they are they should steer clear of this place. SAD, very SAD!
I’ve been doing personal training here with David for almost 2 years now, and I can not say enough amazing things about working with him. I had never worked out or even been in a gym before, and the entire idea of doing such was terrifying. I have felt encouraged and supported every step in my fitness journey, and made more progress than I ever thought possible. I genuinely have a love for working out and health now, and it’s because of how David approached teaching/ coaching me through the process. He cares about all of his clients and was always there to help me navigate setbacks, roadblocks, and factors that made it difficult for me to be consistent. If you are considering training, I can’t encourage enough to train with David. It’s been invaluable and given me lifelong skills and an appreciation for fitness.
This is by far the best gym in Winter garden. I used to go to a gym near my house but since it closed, I switched over and I wish I had joined earlier. This gym has the weights I need and some machines I haven’t seen in any other gym.
