La Fonda of Inglewood Restaurant

We stopped here for dinner on a business trip while killing time to try and avoid the worst of rush hour. While the restaurant had good ratings, we weren't expecting a lot based on the outside of the building and the crowded area next to the kitchen and cash register just inside the front door see pictures. However, things started to look up quickly as we were walked through a doorway and into a larger seating area with plenty of space. The complimentary fresh-fried tortilla chips along with red and fresh salsas were excellent - all 4 at the table commented how good they tasted, with just the right amount of spicy kick. For my meal, I ordered the 4 Mini Tacos see picture and HIGHLY recommend them...they were definitely some of the best 'street-like' tacos I've ever had and I can't imagine anyone not thoroughly enjoying them. Searching for some Mexican cuisine before heading to LAX, and found this gem. The reviews were spot on. Great place with some real good food. They bring you some fine chips with salsa and refried beans to dip in. The food was served quick and fresh. My green sauce wasn't spicy, though. Definitely check it out! Kid-friendliness: Nice place but not fancy.

Came here to eat lunch while on vacation, and it’s wonderful! The parking was small, but it was manageable. I got the wet burrito with half red sauce and half green sauce. The green sauce had a nice kick to it. There’s free serve-yourself aguas frescas, and there’s free chips and salsa/bean dip as well.

WOW! Amazing food. We order the carne asada plate with freshly handmade tortillas. Customer service was amazing! The guy who help us was really helpful when we arrived. When I visit a place I took at their customer service and La Fonda has good customer service I recommend to all who want good food and service. Great place for friends and family and your love one.

Wonderful, different Mexican food! I had the chilies relleno plate and it was fresh with a unique red sauce. My wife had the wet burrito and she said it renewed her faith in Mexican food. A refreshing take on same ol’ Mexican!Recommended dishesBurrito

Food was incredibly fast and server was very friendly. Ordered the Gorditas Plate with Steak and the Wet Burrito with Carnitas. Both were quickly served, hot, and delicious. The fried plantains were great as a dessert and the horchata was amazing. Definitely recommend!

The bomb! Takes me back in the day when I was at my Mom's place. The flavor is straight up traditional. The right amount moisture on the rice. Not too soggy but fluffy. The fried beans and the salsa that bites. You can actually taste spicy, but not too much just enough to leave a good taste and wanting more. Had the combo fajitas and my daughter had the taquitos. Perfect presentation with homemade guacamole and cotija cheese. Not that fake mozeralla stuff. The place is laid back. Like visiting your moms place. Pull a chair and enjoy it. On our way to the airport found this place hidden among the community of Inglewood figured out food must be good since in their parking lot we're three highway patrol cars. Walked in kind of small but the they have a small room to the side we're they have sit down, the other side is for take out orders. Food was good real good upon sitting you get chips and salsa with a small bowl of refried beans. I ordered their la Fonda bowl with chicken it was great. Certainly will be back when in the area nice hidden place. A must if you want great Mexican food
