Authentic tasting food. Lots of good flavors. Very reasonable prices
They were getting ready to close, but stayed open just for us. Very friendly, great food, will definitely be going back.
The food was absolutely amazing! First time I have ever had Spanish rice with small chopped potatoes in it. So yummy! The only reason I give 4 stars and not 5 was because of their bathroom. Many stalls were without toilet paper. They also had no paper towels to dry your hands. Could have just been a busy day. Not a huge gripe so to speak but lost a star for that alone. I'm a fan of clean bathrooms and clean hands.
Let me start by saying we go to this place usually weekly so overall it's one of our favorite places and so this will be a pretty in depth review. The positive: the flavor, the prices are extremely reasonable, and service is usually really fast. Items that are especially good: Al pastor pork, carnitas, beef tongue, rice and beans, the tortillas, salsas, guac... Basically all the basics! They are cooked well and very flavorful. The manager/owner is really nice as is everyone we've interacted with. Things they could improve: they seem to run out of meat choices with some regularity although this could change with time. They are recently under new management. The biggest disappointment for me is that they simply can not cook shrimp. We've tried different shrimp dishes at least 5-10 times and they are always overcooked and chewy. Their garlic shrimp could be amazing tons of fresh chopped garlic and under $10 on Sundays. I just don't order shrimp here anymore. Over the winter time we were in a couple times and it was freezing cold.. Like maybe 50-55 degrees. Food was instantly cold and I was actually shivering. I'm hoping whatever the issue was its fixed before this winter or we won't be back till next summer. Some might complain about the atmosphere, it's in an OLD Chinese buffet building, but honestly the prices are on par with the atmosphere and I'd much rather have good food than a pretty view.
Great food and Very Friendly service! If you like a more Traditional Mexican menu then this is the place to go. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food and the avacado hot sauce is positively scrumptious! Give them a try--you won't be Disappointed and you won't go away hungry!!!!
Couldn't find somewhere to eat, decided to try new taco place. Came in, chips were stale, and it took the waitress 3 trips to bring us 4 waters because she kept forgetting. We saw through the kitchen what we think were our meals come in from the back in plastic containers. Two of our meals came out, lukewarm and edible. The next two meals was where it got annoying. Waitress came back and asked what two of us ordered, even though she wrote it down. She then proceeded to stand around for 10 minutes, go into the kitchen, and say they don't "have any food" And if we wanted tamales. Obviously just wanting what we ordered, we said no. We finally heard grilling, and the last 2 meals came out. No decorations on the walls except for a quarter of the restaurant, and there was a weird buffet. And the clock starts ticking.
I love this restaurant!!! They make the best tacos and actually pack them full of meat, onion, and cilantro. The chips and salsas that they bring to your table are also all homemade and delicious. I'd drive from Janesville to here just to have the tacos.
We had 4 people . Every plate came out at different times. A lot of food for the price. My food was cold. To get all 4 plates was over 15 minutes. Then 2 people ordered Flan. 1 of them came in a store container. These took almost another 10 minutes to come to the table. The wait people were nice but they need to learn how to run a business.
Overall the food was pretty good. The staff was attentive and very polite. The place was kept pretty clean. Nice family atmosphere. No beer or liquor. Nice menu selection. Prices are competitive a and reasonable. Would recommend.
They always remember me, and what I like, great food fantastic prices. Definitely worth what you spend look forward to many more visits, and hope them well in the future. Do your self a favor and stop in you will understand.
