I've known Dr. Kohani since the 90's. I followed him from Beverly Hills to La Jolla, anything regarding my dental health, Invisaligh after double jaw surgery to cosmetic procedures, I've been more than happy.honesty is his policy! And his staff is the best!
I am choosing to post this under an account with a pseudonym despite knowing this business will certainly claim that I’ve never been a patient here. I can assure you that I have, and that they’re incredibly incompetent here. I had several oral appliances made here, and not only did they fit poorly but in follow up research I did there’s little evidence to show those particular devices would have truly been helpful in my case despite the dentist here insisting otherwise. He also chose to utterly deny that it could have harmful long term effects despite copious evidence to the contrary, which I would’ve never even known had I not gotten second and third opinions from other dentists and doctors. The doctor also chose to step far out of his lane and give me unsolicited medical advice that was a not his business and b unrelated to anything in his field. If youre a dentist you have no business giving advice regarding, say, kidney disease. For the average patient, they’re probably fine. But my experiences were overwhelmingly negative, and if you choose to patronize this business then I strongly recommend that you do careful research before going through with any of the recommended procedures or devices, especially if you’re paying out of pocket. I’m being very vague here for privacy reasons, but I do strongly encourage going elsewhere for your dental care. Don’t make the idiot mistakes that I did!
I never write reviews but I feel the need to tell the internet how AMAZING Dr. Kohani and his staff are. I first found the office when looking for a second opinion and I am so happy I did!! Dr. Kohani answered 100 of my questions, eased my concerns, and instantly built trust with his transparent communication. From teeth cleanings to Invisalign- I can not recommend this team enough for any and all treatments! You will no longer dread going to the dentist.
This office deserves 1,000 stars. Dr. Kohani and his staff are amazing. Everyone is very professional and knowledgeable. Most importantly, they are honest. Trusting someone with your teeth is so difficult, especially, if you've had negative experiences with other providers like I have. I was really amazed how comfortable and safe I felt in their hands. I am so thankful that I found this place. You can tell that they really care about their patients. I was able to get treatment for a personal and complex problem I was having with my teeth for years and I am VERY satisfied with the results. I would highly recommend La Jolla Cosmetic Dentistry and Orthodontics to anyone!
I'm grateful to Dr.Kohani and this team. I came here with a pain level of 10 after being sent to several specialists. Dr. Kohani took the time to understand my history and fixed my teeth. Collectively, they are patient and gentle. The pain is gone, and now I have a plan and team, I completely trust in to restore my oral health. Thanks again for helping me and my family! Looking for a fantastic dentist that handles all your needs with ease & professional care? Well, look no further. Dr. Kohani & his staff are top notch. The Dr. is has a great bedside manner and it clearly ripples through his office. They always provide the absolute best care when I am in for a visit. The team takes the time to explain the treatments plus go over the costs to you beforehand. I’ve never left an appointment dissatisfied and actually look forward going to the dentist!!
Went in for a teeth cleaning and it was the most comprehensive cleaning I've ever had! It was a little uncomfortable in the moment, but the end result was worth it. I was also considering Invisalign, but the doctor informed me that it was not necessary for teeth health and would mainly be for cosmetic purposes... He did not try to sell me on this expensive procedure just for the sake of it, which was greatly appreciated! Talented and personable staff at this office! I recommend this place to anyone that wants great care and wants their questions answered in detail.
Like many of us I dread going to the dentist. I know it is self care and important but my body tightens up and I get a bit reactive at the very thought of it. I recently moved to Dr. Kohani's care after my long time provider retired and I cannot be happier about the excellence in staff, service and dentistry. Dr. Kohani is transparent about what he is doing, discusses what is recommended and what he would leave alone. The best part, after getting two teeth worked on this morning, is that he was absolutely painless. Even the injection of anesthetic, something I didn't know was possible. My wife recently had major work done and the results are astonishing. He shaped the teeth to her face and mouth making her more beautiful than ever. Dr. Kohani and office are the best team ever and I am glad to have found my way to them. Peace.
Dr. Kohani and his team are the nicest dentists. I am one of those poor individuals that absolutely hates going to the dentist. I had bad experiences with them as a kid and yet I don't mind going to Dr. Kohani's office. They're so good, take such good care of my teeth and make the whole experience as enjoyable as possible. I mentioned to Dr. Kohani that I was nervous about getting some cavities filled and he reassured me and actually saved one of my teeth from needing a full root canal. I cannot express how grateful I am to have found Dr. Kohani's office!
Today, I had another amazing experience at Dr. Kohani's office, he has put together the greatest team, they deliver exceptional result every time! Lynn Dental hygienist did my cleaning today, she is professional, sweet and very caring, I am very happy with her work. I am not surprised that Dr. Kohani has the best dental practice in San Diego, besides being so experienced, skilled and friendly, he is so passionate about his work. Thank you Dr. and the team at La Jolla Cosmetic Dentistry, my husband and I are very grateful!
