La Paz Intermediate

I go to school with Matthew here. His friend definitely didn't deserve a punishment that severe, but our school does make clear that any inappropriate technology use is not tolerated. I enjoy going to this school, but it sometimes surprises me what people get away with. The punishments are definitely harsh, and sometimes, having some fun is treated like a bad thing. My friend was detained on a count of "public disturbance and insubordination". She, and a quite sizable group around her were clapping enthusiastically, though she was the only one punished. I couldn't understand how something like this could have happened. Other, much more serious problems have gone unattended to.

My son loves going to this school and all the kids I know that attend or attended this school have been very happy with it. The teachers are great, it's well organized and they work hard to make sure the kids are successful.

Great community, amazing staff, fantastic students
