Car broke down and needed a last minute option for a bed. Found this place through Maps, saw it was three stars and went "good enough." Booked a reservation online- La Quinta has been good in the past. Not this one. I only wish I read the reviews BEFORE booking. The only reason I didn't leave once I realized the horrible quality is because I didn't have enough money for another hotel and upon reading the other reviews here, I knew I wasn't getting what I had already paid back. Tried to call the front desk about issues from my room- nothing. Tried again, especially because there was someone playing LOUD bass music that shook the walls in the middle of the night. Still nothing. Walked to the lobby to complain in person- found out from a crowd who had been standing there for ten minutes that there was no one around! If you're going to have a hotel make sure you have the staff to keep the front desk! How can people make requests/complaints or check in if there's no one there? Room was serviceable, the mattress was clean ish but found a lot of broken things. Tons of strange people in the parking lots doing who knows what The halls are strewn with trash and the only thing that kept me from fearing for my car's safety was my current lack of one. Absolutely baffles me that this place has three stars on Maps with how bad it is. Do not go here, the price isn't worth it.
I’m experiencing a bit of homeless and have stayed at a lot of the discount motels in the area, I can very comfortably say this is the worse one. One the area itself is incredibly sketchy, needles in the parking lot, homeless people wandering around, trash everywhere and regular appearances by the police, absolute nightmare of a place. Every morning I woke up and considered myself lucky that my car wasn’t broken into. Now I would be inclined to blame the area of town, but the Best Value Inn right next door is a night and day difference, the problem lies entirely within how this property is managed. I struggled to find a TV that worked. After being told four separate times that maintenance would come look at it I gave up and begged for a different room. Surprise Surprise, the TV in my new room didn’t work. The housekeeping staff is obnoxious, it seems their primary job is to try and get you out as early before the checkout time they can. They came 80 minutes before checkout banging on my door, I shooed them off for them to comeback 50 minutes before checkout and open my door. When I told them to leave the housekeeper yelled at me that check out is in less than hour. Less than an hour, so why were they bothering me. Which makes the biggest problem with this La Quinta even worse, the rooms are disgusting. The one room I stayed in had dead roaches all over, I found four fake fingernails on the grounddisgusting after about fifteen seconds my shower was backed up because it was so clogged. Removing the sheetswhich I highly suggest you do reveals just how disgusting the room is, my microwave was clearly not cleaned, old coffee mounds left in the coffee machine, I’ve never stayed in a motel so consistently dirty. Which begs the question, why are they so desperate to kick you out before checkout when it’s obvious they aren’t cleaning anything. All in all, it’s a cheap place to stay and 2/4 of the people working the front desk were friendly. But otherwise this is the worst La Quinta I’ve ever stayed in and it makes the best value inn next door feel like Luxury living.
The first wrong, given a room that wasn't available somebody was sitting in it with the door open, Given another room and stayed there 4 nights. Housekeeping never came by to offer fresh towels, toilet paper or even empty the trash. Never cleaned the room period! Luckily I had my own towel Reported to the front desk and nothing was ever done. Had to get fresh towels from the front desk clerk. The bathroom has no mirror. The shower was raised about a foot or so from the floor so if you were tall, your head would be touching the ceiling. I would have been better off sleeping in a tent by the freeway
It was pretty bad. The first appearance makes you worry right away but my car was okay. However the room was completely disgusting there was hair everywhere the bed was broken the mattress was so bad I ended up just buying an air mattress. And of course there were a couple roaches. Not a good time at all. I promise you're 30 extra dollars will get you something better don't cheap out on this. Also I'm glad I didn't get anything stolen because I did have to leave for a little while and I left without my room key. When I went to the front desk they made me a room key without asking my name or for my id. Kind of sketch if you ask me. Also if you read the reviews you will see that they have the same stupid response to each one they're not actually responding with care to each review. I would love to have my money back but it is what it is I'm not even going to try I'm just going to count it as a lesson learned.
if i could give this place zero stars i definitely would. we checked in we had to park in the back next to the dumpster. there was men in the dumpster i’m assuming dumpster diving. as soon as we walked up the stairs it smelled like weed. we got to our room and as soon as i opened the door i knew i was not staying here. spider webs on the ceiling, stench of cigarettes coming in. the water from the sink was brown. there was men walking up and down the outside of the door. felt very unsafe. not to mention there wasn’t even a deadbolt on our room door. we called and told them we would be leaving and wanted a refund. the lady i spoke to said she could only refund us two nights out of the three as we were already in the room and “touched everything. which we didn’t trust me is was gross definitely wasn’t touching anything/everything. we still have yet to be refunded for the nights we didn’t stay. we are not from the area so as we have tried to call multiple times to get it fixed they don’t even have a working number. don't waste your time and money staying here. trust me it ain’t worth it. UPDATE- i finally got in contact with the hotel and spoke to someone named April and was told she wasn’t able to help me to call back in the morning. freaking ridiculous if you ask me. just disputing it with my bank at this point.
I reserved this room through my Texas farm insurance membership. La Quinta In. Has always been a good hotel but this one was just disgusting. We checked in and drove to our room. We noticed people standing around outside of rooms, trucks with stuff piled in their trunks, what looked like drug deals happening and homeless people walking around. We walk inside and the room smelled like smoke even though it was a non smoking room. The bathroom door leaned downwards so it dragged when you shut it open it. The shower floor was high up and have to squat down to wash your hair. And there was a dead roach in our room. But the owners or managers sure had nice BMWs parked out front.
Cleaning lady went into my room without my permission and stole some jewelry. When I went to confront the person at the front desk he laughed in my face like it was funny. I filed the police report right after that. do not book a room here.Rooms: 1/5
Don’t stay here. This hotel is very run down! The area is very sketchy and I felt unsafe during my stay. Random men loitering around the area. The shower floor is lifted about a foot compared to the bathroom floor and the shower head is pretty low. I’m not even that tall and it was too short. The shower floor was disgusting with black hairs. There was no soap! The smoke detector was beeping every 30 seconds and didn’t stop until we contacted the front desk and someone came to change the batteries after about 1 hour. Breakfast was from 7-9 but they won’t refill anything so if it’s out it’s out. The orange juice machine was out of service. Breakfast choices were very limited.
