I’m excited to receive our Trouper sectional that we just ordered from La-Z-Boy in Silverdale, WA. It’s been a stellar experience so far. We’re currently in SC purchasing the sofa for our home in Sequim, WA so we had to do everything long distance. Mark, our sales rep put us in touch with their designer, Connie. She’s been wonderful! She did a site visit to our home, took measurements and worked tirelessly to help us find just the right fabric. Here’s hoping supply chain issues don’t slow things down and we receive the sofa sooner rather than later!
If I could give 0 stars I would. My order for loveseat and sofa was placed on August 9th. When I tried loveseat in store, the power recliner made a grinding noise. I was told it was because it had been unplugged. I called back to the store prior to delivery and spoke with my salesperson to ensure they had checked out the noise. I was told it was fine. My loveseat arrived and was making the same grinding noise upon reclining so I haven’t used it. The delivery guys commented on it and wrote it down on ticket that loveseat was not working correctly. I called store and spoke to a guy as my sales lady was on vacation and he said he would have it repaired/ get issue resolved for me and would call me back on timing. No return call. I called customer service several times over a period of 3 days and received message saying call back between business hours which I was doing so it was frustrating. I finally reached a live person after several attempts who said no repair ticket had been turned in for me so I requested repair. That was August. It is now September 23 and no repair completed as I guess their one repairman was in an accident so now can’t come until Oct 8th. The sofa which was supposed to come early September is now to arrive late SeptemberI can only hope. I’ve been without a sofa this entire time with a useless loveseat. If I could cancel my order, I would but I bought floor model which were on sale and I can’t return. I will never buy furniture again from Lazyboy. . Their customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced and now I worry about future repairs if needed based on the length of time in getting a service guy out. I bet they charge me for the service call too which I will have to contest. What started as an exciting new furniture purchase has tuned into a huge hassle and disappointment.
We bought a couch and loveseat at this place and they gave us a floor model , the loveseat is broke when we got it, the electric recliner was broke. The couch had been worn on one arm elbow to wood no padding at all , have contacted them several times since we bought the couch in may , we paid a lot extra for the warranty, we have been very uncomfortable in this thing since we bought it in may for 4500.00 dollars including the warranty that they aren’t backing ,it’s been five months , should have gotten a brand new one in the time I’ve had to wait. In order to contact someone it is miserable and very time consuming,5 hours one day!
I was told to accept the chair even if there was any damage and it would just be fixed. Going through their warranty services has been a freaking nightmare and the part has taken over three months to arrive. I don’t recommend this company to anyone. Horrible experience. The actual maintenance people have been great, but getting to them was hell.
My review is specific to addressing our purchase experience at the Silverdale, Washington, La-Z-Boy store, not specific to what we’ve purchased, since the items are not yet delivered. The Silverdale store location we visited is closing, as they are moving to a new location not far away. We learned of the store’s closure and sale by signage in the general vicinity of the current location. We were interested in recliners. It was great to walk into the store, be greeted in a friendly manner, and allowed to wander. All sales are currently final - store signage was very clear - and that was not a problem from our perspective. Once we found our first choice, Catherine helped, and was wonderful. Asked good questions, listened well, and found us a second recliner with our criteria. Catherine reviewed everything with us, once we finalized our selections, inclusive of fabric / leather protection we have a cat, warranties, and other pertinent info. A note about what we bought - will return for another, more in-depth, review once we have had an opportunity to enjoy our purchases. We purchased 2 recliners. One will be delivered next week, as it was on the floor at the Silverdale store. It was so very comfortable, and hopefully it will be our experience one+ month into its use. The other recliner was not in store, so we test drove the equivalent in the 2-seater love seat. Also very nice. Very happy to save by purchasing on Final Sale, and also happy with the the 5-year warranty. ***Updated 8 weeks post-purchase / 5 weeks post-delivery*** Both recliners are wonderful! One of us is pending shoulder surgery and the recliner will be most beneficial, especially with the electronic controls making adjustments so much easier. All in all, we are quite pleased with our purchases.
It was time to upgrade the furniture and my friend told me Lazy Boy was having a moving clearance sale. As I was looking around I met David Lahn. I told him what I was looking for and he showed me what they had. Everything was marked down 20-75%. I wanted different colors than they had on the floor so we went to the fabric rack. That’s where I met Connie McGuire the store interior designer. We went through fabrics and offset the fabrics for the pillows. Before I made the decision, he took me over to Connie McGuire’s desk. We sat down and she put everything I had picked out end tables, lamps etc. up on the screen in a virtual living room , using my measurements with wall colors, floors, and windows. Actually came pretty darn close to my actual room. We were able to change wall colors. Once we did that I was sold. I like how it looked and I’m buying the new color for the wall. I actually saved a bunch of $$ with their sale. If you are in the market go see David and Connie at Lazy Boy in Silverdale. They will set you up. A+
Catherine in Silverdale & her mgr. were both so wonderful to work with. Catherine was knowledgeable, professional, listened to my specific needs & was friendly without being pushy in any way. It was a very pleasurable experience.
I bought my wife a Joshua recliner for her birthday in May 2022 We wanted leather, was told black leather being so popular they don't have them in the store, that it was a special order ? hmmm Most popular and none in stock, second hmmmm Since we had already experienced the Ashley furniture crapola faux leather and I have a black 20 year old leather la z boy recliner, so we went with it and payed $1600 bucks for her chair Updates were sporadic at best from the main company website via email, store employees had to be contacted for any specifics, went from 2 months to 4 months to almost 6 months now supply chain, train delivery issues, scheduling, lack of employees etc etc still no chair as of today 9/29/202 3rd hmmmm Scheduled to be in yesterday the 28th took the old Ashley crapola chair to the dump, got home called them to make sure the new chair was there Wrong Its not in the store, were very sorry, why what happened, "we dont know" 4th hmmmm Great my wifes in a lawn chair now Happy birthday hun
I had an excellent experience with sales associate Bonnie Carver. She was knowledgeable, personable and super efficient. I purchased a recliner for post surgery needs that is attractive and very comfortable and I got it on sale for a truly great price. Thank you Bonnie!
I can only speak on my store experience, simply because my Wife and I ordered our chairs so we await them, excitedly lol. So! I wish I remembered the man’s name, young brotha, but seemed like a seasoned salesperson. But without all the showy salesperson type of attitude. He was extremely professional, very soft spoken and in an a matter of fact fashion. I didn’t feel pressured. He gave us our space to decide, but also was there to give us any info we needed so we could make a more solidified decision. The process was easy, and fast. Much appreciated!
