My brother in law lost his home south of Bangs. Not only did he lose a place for his kids but he could have lost his horse and cattle too if not for the Lake VFD. For nearly 2 hours after the call to Bangs VFD, only their chief showed up to put out flames. The wind was pushing the flames to the pinned up cattle! Because of the Bangs VFD my brother in law has no home to keep his kids. Because of Lake VFD he at least has his cattle that hopefully didn't inhale too much smoke due to Bangs VFD incompetence.
