Passionate about teaching, Melody Steinbart pursued her bachelors in String Pedagogy from Maranatha Baptist University with Lewis Rosove and her masters in Violin Performance from East Carolina University with Hye-Jin Kim. In addition to her collegiate studies, Melody received the North Carolina Suzuki Institute scholarship to study Suzuki violin volumes 1-10 through the long-term teacher-trainer program with Joanne Bath.
In addition to teaching, Melody participated in a variety of performance venues across Southeast Wisconsin and Eastern North Carolina including guest student artist in the Next Gen project with the Four Seasons Music Festival, co-founder and violist of the Credo Quartet, two-time winner of Commencement Competition at Maranatha Baptist University, and concertmaster for both the East Carolina University Symphony and Maranatha Baptist University Symphony Orchestras.
Melody Steinbart enjoys teaching various levels and ages of students. Her students range in age from 3 years old to adult with skill levels of beginner to advanced. In addition to teaching privately, Melody co-directed the Ira Hardy Suzuki Violin Outreach program in Bath, North Carolina as well as assisted in the Third Street Suzuki Violin Outreach program in Greenville, North Carolina. Currently, Melody is on faculty at Maranatha Baptist University and Maranatha Music Prep School.
