I loved diving in lake Denton!!!! I went here to practice and fine tune skills during a weekday and it was absolutely magical. There were a ton of fish, a few turtles, sunken boats, bicycles and more. Definitely be prepared to use port-a-potties and outdoor changing areas. They’re well managed, but heads up to the people out there that can’t deal. Wish I took pictures - next time! Rev./updated Dec 2021: added photos
Lake Denton is perfect for first time divers. Did a refresher course here with our dive school and had a blast!! Perfect water temps too :
New picnic tables were added last night. Facilities are rustic but clean. The entrance to the water has a nice slope and the lake is beautiful.
This is a popular site for dive training. It is not the most exciting place to dive, but it is great for training. There are lines attached to the bottom of the lake to help instructors to navigate and there are a few submerged objects to look at here and there. There are even some curious fish even though it is certainly not anything like diving on a reef :-
For only $15 divers get to use their facility. They have bathrooms, hot showers and a few picnic tables. Lake Denton is a great training lake for open water divers.
I have been diving this lake for a while and it never disappoints. Easy to get to Hey 27 and there's always good parking. Count on $15.00 a piece to use the lake.
Great lake, very clean, quiet, peaceful, excellent spot for checkout dives.
Awesome place, our church family has events there all the time. The lake and facilities are wonderful.
This is a great lake for scuba diving, snorkeling, free diving. The facilities are nice and the staff is very pleasant.
