Just visited for a car wash but when I got to where I was going, I noticed there was still a lot of dirt on my car. I called and the person answering the phone just said hello. I had to ask if it was Lake Effect Car Wash. Apparently the person who answered the phone was someone who could make a decision and told me to come back for a rewash. I went back for a rewash and I still have dirt in the same places!! I used to visit this car wash on a regular basis and have never had any issues with my car coming out not clean. Time to find a new car wash! Two stars because they did try to make it right with a rewash. Otherwise it would have been one star because they did not get my car clean.
Usually don't have an issue here but I think their wash is broken. Paid $10 for this...looks like it got sprayed with a garden hose....
My car has several very noticable dirty spots and this is not the first time this has happened. I will not be returning unless their quality improves somehow. I have to get my car re-washed somewhere else now and pay even more. Terrible job.
If I could give zero stars I would. I paid for the most expensive car wash that included the dry and shine feature and their equipment was broken so I didn't get what I paid for. When I went inside to tell them it didnt dry my car I was told I couldn't have a partial refund for the services not provided.
I tried this place for the first and LAST time. I have used several car wash places around, but I was close so though I’d try it. WRONG move. The tailgate by license plate still dirty, the grill was dirty, and it ripped the wiper from its foundation. When I informed the manager his only response was ‘ I’ve been here 10 years and you’re the first person it’s happened to’. Not 100% sure I believe that, I said well the car is a year old and I use that wiper quite often with the rain and snow we’ve had. I asked ‘who’s going to pay for it, he said ‘not me’. He walked around once to see if he could find a part that came off, couldn’t find it, and said, I’ll look again in a while. Meanwhile, it was 14 degrees and we were getting freezing snow. I told him I will bring the receipt after I get it fixed, he said ‘whatever’ then I said I’d contact my attorney and he said my wiper was already broken or it wouldn’t have happened. The very nice man at the quick lube next to it came out to see how he could help. Very kind and appreciated!! He showed more concern than the manager of the car wash, and they are not even affiliated. Sam @quick lube was so nice, he said if I get a new wiper, he’d replace it for me! THAT is customer service. Thank you, Sam! The mgr of car wash just told me he would do nothing for me, DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE GOING TO LAKE EFFECT CAR WASH IN HOWELL!Service: Auto detailing
The staff is great… always courteous… wash my car several times a week… do a fantastic job!!!they have done some upgrades to the place and it’s wonderful… still need to replace the vacuums and would be nice to install a Matt washer… would be a nice drawing card… keep up the great work guys!!!!
Went through the car wash today and paid 18.00 for Mgr special. My Escape is still dirty. Last time I ever use their services. Definitely will tell people not to go there
Paid $15 dollars for a car wash and the back of my car had so much dirt on it still. Overpriced and not worth it.
I tried them once they sucked, then I went back today to try it once more, my truck is still very dirty! They didnt even clean my grill! Filthy! Never again!
