The Lake Erie Chapter is one of over 240 national chapters of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (LEC AACN). AACN is the world's largest specialty nursing organization with more than 70,000 members. The Lake Erie Chapter is located in Northeast Ohio and was first chartered in 1981. We have over 150 members.
The LEC supports excellence in critical care nursing by offering:
numerous free quality educational programs
reduced fees for an all day symposium held every spring
support for evidence-based practice and AACN's Standards of Care
a scholarship to the AACN NTI
networking opportunities, and
opportunities to serve the community
There are 5 elected officers and a variety of active committees devoted to meeting the needs of our members, providing quality continuing educational programs, and publishing a quarterly newsletter.
