I've been making memories here with my kids for years. It's a beautiful park with lots to offer. Many places for kids to play. A large walking path. Gorgeous foliage. A disc golf course. A stage for live music. A gazebo on the water. And live ducks to feed and fish to catch. Kids love it. Especially mine, so I love it too.
This is a great park to do birthday parties, studies or just some good old exercise! It has a lot of covered pavilions and seating areas which make it nice for relaxation. It also has restrooms to use as well.
Really nice park in Henderson. The lake was great! Kids loved the playgrounds and ducks! Really well taken care of park.
THIS PLACE IS INCREDIBLE! It is an EPIC park on a lake with event areas, disc golf, gishing, picnic, playgrounds, amphitheater, and more. Absolutely enormous and gorgeous. We will be back and brag to everyone we know.
This park has been a part of my life since I can remember. Growing up here in Henderson this was the Park so this is where most of our childhood memories were made. I've got great memories here as a kid then here with my kid. Tonight The City of Henderson put on a Fabulous 4th of July and new memories were made by many. The park looks the Best it's looked in years and I'm super PROUD of Lake Forest Park and Everyone that put time and money into make it what it is today.
It's a safe, lovely park with places to adults to walk and kids to climb. The bathrooms are always clean too, and there's a police station on site!
Driving. I turned right following my instinct. And "Thar she blows!". I actually said to myself the word WOW. A very nicely designed visual retreat in East Texas. Its not the Grand Canyon but it is unepected and really cool. It shouts relax.. The town is Henderson. Go take a look and say WOW.
I love that park. There's so much to do. It's so beautiful and well-maintained.
Lake Forest Park has the potential to be a really nice park but suffers from terrible unaddressed drainage problems. We found standing water under pavilions & on many sections of walkways, not to mention areas of soggy playground mulch. In addition, although it was the beginning of Memorial Day weekend, the large expanse of grassy areas that separated the pavilions from the playground had not been mowed for the holiday, the unofficial start of summer. Lastly, the gazebo that is positioned at the end of a long walkway over the lake had several missing slats making it dangerously unsafe for younger children. The only true positive on the day that we visited were the fun & friendly ducks.
Love to come here and fish. The park is a nice place to hang out with the family.
