Park is nice. Lack of restraint, sportsmanship, and concern for what the coaches and a dozen or so parents are teaching the 12 to 14 year old girls' softball teams is reason enough for me to give 1 star. I won't be back & and I hope my granddaughter won't be either.
Really great baseball park for the kiddos. Growing up in a small town in southern Arkansas, baseball was important to me. Not just the game, but the friends and relationships made along the way. I look forward to seeing my two children grow in the sport and happy to be back in Arkansas for my kids to learn to love the game. Fantastic place and look forward to watching many many more games here!!
I love how the ball fields and grounds are kept nice , clean and provides a great service to lots of people in the surrounding communities.
The park is nice. Unfortunately, the lack of any reasonable lack of restraint by the 12 to 14 year old girls' softball coaches, continual screaming at the umpire, and refusing to use any amount of sportsmanship to the point of actually forfeiting a game - means that I am encouraging my granddaughters parents to pull her from the team and I will not ever step on that property again. Absolutely disgusting display from the coaches and 10 or 12 of the parents and siblings.
It's a clean park, unfortunately, a new director is in charge this year, we're hoping next year will be more organized. Personally, I think it's ridiculous we had to pay to watch our own children play, none of the parents were aware until morning of the first game. Poorly planned. Had I known we would have to pay so much for supplies, gear, uniform, parking, and to play, and then handed fundraiser tickets?!?!? Seriously?!??! we would've skipped being associated with optimist park!! Why not gather parents and kids to wash cars instead of asking so much money from parents, some of which don't have much to give???? Total lack of communication. I tried calling several times to ask questions, yet calls weren't answered nor were they returned. Very frustrating.
We've been playing ball at the park for 20 years with my 4 children and its honestly never been better. Fields are great, parking lot is improved and the bathrooms are much better. They still need to work on traffic flow and hopefully put another bathroom in but we love it.
What organization makes people pay to attend a 5yr old t-ball game
$4 an adult to park?? And the money being taking by children at the gate? That's ridiculous! Scott Walston should not be allowed to coach any kids much less 6 year old, no patience and picks favorites. Very disappointed in the Optimist Club
Always clean and well kept. Good atmosphere. Love showing support for our team here.
Great park. Nice diamonds. Would have been a 5 star but all the grounds have construction debris scattered around. Will be really nice when all that is finished.
