The only hotel located directly on the shores of Lake Placid. We welcome guests to an unrivaled lodging experience in the heart of the Adirondacks.
Balanced on the edge of village and forest, Lake Placid Lodge is the only hotel located directly on Lake Placid. Its beams are hewn by hand, its rooms filled with art and antiques, with beds carved by local artisans and 50 stone fireplaces laid piece-by-piece by Adirondack masons. It is a personal retreat, as rustic and splendid as the Great Camps from the Gilded Age.
In addition to memorable Adirondack vacations, Lake Placid Lodge offers a distinctive setting for meetings, corporate retreats and celebrating milestone occasions. Whether you are seeking a unique location for an upcoming seminar or a timeless backdrop for your wedding day, Lake Placid Lodge offers an irresistible blend of rustic elegance and modern convenience. We look forward to welcoming you to the Lodge, a spectacular hotel in Lake Placid that is perfectly at home in nature's wild domain.
The Lodge's guest rooms, suites and seventeen lakefront cabins are uncommonly comfortable ~ at once rustic and luxurious, even splendid. All guest rooms have large stone wood-burning fireplaces and wonderful lake and mountain views, and all have private baths, most with deep-soaking tubs and double headed showers. Please visit our website at www.lakeplacidlodge.com for more inforamtion on our accommodations.
Artisans at Lake Placid Lodge
Artisans is an intimate, warm and cozy fire-lit restaurant that extends out to the Lodge's wide covered porches in fine weather. The high windows and grand porches seem to seat the diner almost upon the lake. Chef Mark Hannon and his dedicated team offer a full a-la-carte menu based on farm to table cuisine. The cuisine is seasonally inspired and New American in tradition, but voyages wonderfully and mysteriously into the world beyond. The Lodge has an exceptional wine collection that ranges from the modest to the illustrious and a magnificent and romantic dine-in wine cellar for special occasions.
Artisans is open to the public, and seating is limited, so reservations are highly recommended. For reservations, please contact us at (518)523-5232. We welcome guests twelve years of age or older.
Maggie's Pub
Funky yet traditional, Maggie's is a convivial gathering place in the Main Lodge, adjacent to the Moose Room and Artisans restaurant. Deep armchairs are pulled up in front of the fire, stools face the classic wood-paneled bar, pendant lamps
illuminate the billiards table. Maggie's is well-stocked with drinks of every kind, games and puzzles. Outside on the terrace, Adirondack chairs invite the study of a summer sunset or winter alpine glow or the pleasure of a warming drink next to the huge outdoor fireplace that burns all year.
The Pub has a superb, relaxed menu, that is served from noon until 9:30 pm. No reservations accepted.
For Maggese Pub Call (518)523-5233. We welcome guests twelve years of age or older.
