Been here for about 5 months now, and we love it here! The deer are really friendly, and the sunsets.. oh man, the sunsets are gorgeous! When we first got here in the spring, the flowers were absolutely beautiful. The staff is generally quite nice and helpful, and they have activities! I've honestly had a great time here. 5/5 stars would recommend!
We absolutely loved it! We parked our RV there and they made sure to give us the spot right next to the playground for our little ones. They sell deer food to feed the deer so that’s awesome! It’s for a great view of the lake, the pool is humongous, and they are always out making sure ppl are going speed limit which makes me feel safe with my kids around. They are super nice at the front and make sure you are well taken care of. They even let us borrow an adapter for our RV to plug into the electric because we didn’t have one. Thanks for a good time y’all!
We love LakePointe RV & Condo! We have been members at least 10 years and have absolutely loved it. The people are great and we love being there on the lake and feeding the deer and swimming and it is just a great time there. Lots of good family memories. Rooms: Great rooms Nearby activities: You are 20 minutes from Gruene or Wimberly. 10 minutes from the dam or riding the river at Whitewater horseshoe. It is just in the middle of everything. Since the Brookshire Brothers has been put in you can shop for anything you need right there. Noteworthy details: The wildlife at LakePointe is a highlight. You can feed the deer out of your hand if you are slow and gentle with them. We have seen lots of Gray foxes. We have seen lots of squirrels, birds and racoons. We love walking the trails and exploring. The stars are amazing at night there. Do be careful of scorpions there are some there which goes with the territory.
I was a little nervous about the deer being around, thinking they might attack or bother us, but they were very calm. They seem used to humans, but they also don't get too close us. You just don't bother them, and they won't bother you. The scenery is beautiful. There are lots of big and shady trees around the RV parking area, and a playground when you walk in as well, with a tetherball pole, swing sets, a slide, climbing rope, small rock wall, tire swing, and a bunch of picnic tables. There is also a basketball hoop and net for playing volleyball, as well as two pools. Lots of fun places are nearby too. Nearby activities: There's the Guadalupe River Access Trail very close by, like 20ish minutes away probably less for a more shallow part of the river. The Heritage Museum of the Texas Hill Country, which is very close by and has statues of dinosaurs that kids will enjoy. Mystery Mountain is pretty close by too. It's basically a zoo, and it has a train, playground, zoo animals, and a cave to walk in. There's the Wimberley Zipline Adventures as well.
I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I booked an RV spot Easter weekend for my family at Lake point. Forecast for the entire weekend was rain but we tried to make the best of it. With great weather my family would have been outside at the lake, basketball court if you can call a net in a rocky driewave a court or at the other outdoor activities; however, we were limited by the rain. We went to the clubhouse with our colorable Easter eggs we brought so the girls could color while my son and I played pool. Pool was literally the only activity available to us due to the weather. We were being very respectful and quiet but despite that we got kicked out. A lady came up to me and asked ”if I had read the sign”. You have to be 21 to play pool. My son is 7 and was being supervised by myself. Again, we were being very respectful and appropriate. This place claims to be family friendly but that is simply not the case. We will never be back. Full disclosure, none of this would have been an issue at all if the weather was nice as we wouldn't of needed the clubhouse at all. We were just simply trying to get out of the RV for a bit.
I call this resort my happy place. I’ve been camping here for 6 six years and have made many friends. The sunsets are beautiful and the park staff are friendly and helpful. Nearby activities: There are many river activities in the area as well as the beautiful Texas Hill Country. The resort also has many opportunities for activities like game night, movie night and entertainment.
We absolutely love this place and I’ve been coming here for years. The staff has always been warm and welcoming. Plus you get amazing views of the lake. We will always recommend this place to everyone we cross paths with.
Unfortunately the bad reviews are true — advertised as no long termers but probably 60% are lifers who are set to run off the guests. Came on an empty, rainy weekend and had lifers call on me shortly after arriving for pulling my truck and boat around to load up my kids. When I came back from the lake to drop them off, the "park warden" hawked me down to tell me I had been warned already and to get out of here. Must be a big disconnect between the owners and managers cause they're going run off all their business. Wouldn't recommend for visitors. Total disappointment because the property is beautiful.
Not a place I would recommend for families at all. All other RV campsites I have been to do a much better job of making families feel welcomed and appreciated. They definitely cater to an older population at Lakepoint. My family got kicked out of the recreation hall in a very rude way because my 7 year old son might mess up their pool table I was in the hall with my kids while it rained and trying to keep them entertained. We were being very respectful and appropriate with their property. No common sense or discretion was used on their part when talking to me about it despite the response they will give below after my review. Lakepoint will also try to say that they nicely explained that there was a kid's pool table somewhere which may be completely true. BUT when I was approached by staff about the incident ther FIRST thing out of her mouth wad "Did you see the sign?" they have a sign that says 21 and up up on one wall Now, that to me doesn't invite conversation and especially a conversation that I want to be in so I left telling the staff I would never be back and I was leaving a bad review so here I am with my 2nd bad review because they lied in their response to the first one. To Lakepoint RV I say it is your business you can run it how you want but a smile from your staff members with a "Hey ma'am, Can I show you the kids table we have right around the corner here?" would have gone a long way. Instead you got some lengthy and bad reviews from me and my husband. If you have small children.....find another park.
Hands down one of your favorite top 5 places to stay. The pool is big enough for everyone at the park. The access to the lake is clean and easy. The staff is helpful, friendly and over all amazing. Bathrooms are very clean. Been here a few times and have never had a bad experience. The campsites are big enough for our family. Amazing place.
