This is an excellent park with lots of amenities. Places to barbecue, picnic tables, some covered areas, playgrounds and ample parking. A discover pass is required and can be purchased at the park itself in the various parking lots. I'm not too sure when the sunset Cafe opens but I have not seen it open at all, I generally go there on weekends.
I'm not much into water activities, but this park is close to where we live, and they recently did some remodeling. If you're lucky, you may spot some Bald Eagles that like to hang out way up high need a big lens. It's big enough to get some good exercise walking around the paths in the park. Overall, a pretty nice park with plenty of amenities and activities.
My boys had a great time here. So much do to. Nice play ground, huge grassy field, lots of parking. Love how big the lake is. Nice and clean restrooms and very convenient since it’s by the lake.
Had a wonderful moment..such a relaxing place to come over, as it's huge good for a long walk and picnic. Well, kayaking was fun! Small beach kids will enjoy it and plenty of parking areas and restrooms.
We usually visit here once a year for the Bulgarian heritage festival and enjoy the park very much for this event. A very large lake with all the usual activities available. Lots of parking, unless there is a special event happening. A beautiful place to spend a warm sunny summer afternoon FOLLOW ME for more thoughtful recommendations as I travel the world
Nice big park with multiple beaches and trails. There was also a couple of playgrounds for the kids and picnic tables galore. It also has a boat launch and big parking lots. You do have to pay for parking or have a Discover pass to visit the park though.
Its a wonderful place to experience the sunrise and sunsets. We were there today for sunset. Dont forget to take the Discover pass along and leave in your car. Only thing which made me give 4 stars were the mosquitoes which were too many all over.We finally had to take shelter in the car to keep them away and watched the sunset from inside the car.
Nice hiking trails that are well maintained even in winters. Great conservation efforts by park authorities all around. Beach is beautiful on a sunny day with waterfront properties on the far end. Hikes are dreamy when the wilderness is covered in fog! Can't believe this is so accessible if you are living in Bellevue or nearby.
This is a really great park for everything fun in the sun on the water. There is a very very busy boat launch but the line moves fast and things are pretty organized over there. They also have a large area for hanging out and parking in a smaller beach area where everybody crams in to enjoy the beautiful waters of Lake Sammamish.
This is one Is my favorite parks on the Eastside period. If you’re from the Seattle vicinity, it’s easy to get to. It’s about 25 minutes approximately from Seattle vicinity. So it’s extremely easy to get there for a spur of the moment walk or drive or even a boat ride. Every single time I go there I see eagles yes plural...
