Lovely area for viewing Lake Michigan and downtown Milwaukee. Peaceful and clean except for the Porta-Potties: do yourself a favor and use the bathroom facilities elsewhere before heading to Lakeshore Park! Restrooms: Disgusting
As a park, it’s a 5 - a hidden gem! Harbor is beautiful. As a transient marina, it’s a 2-3. IMPORTANT FOR BOATERS: there are frequent robbery attempts at these transient slips. No security features outside of the cops that do their best to patrol. Set up cameras and make friends w other boaters to prevent theft if you head out to eat.
Park near the LakeShore that offers great views of Lake Michigan and Shorelines. Fishing. Summerfest grounds are jumping with people! Love fishing in the lagoon area & jamming out to the local bands rocking out!. Caught a big drum using a meps.
Definitely one of the smaller state parks, but nice for a short walk. Parking was easy to find. It was popular for geese, but where isn't? Nice view of Milwaukee and Lake Michigan
Love the area and my kids loved Discovery world! Definitely have to come back and rent the boats for the family
The park has a very nice view of Milwaukee, also over looking Lake Michigan. It has a long path, suitable for biking and walking/jogging. Summer festival is also held there. There is a small beach like area, although it’s with coarse sand.
Lakeshore State Park is a small but beautiful park located in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is the only urban state park in Wisconsin and features a restored prairie, a pebble beach, and a paved trail that connects to the Oak Leaf Trail and Hank Aaron Trail. The park is a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. There are plenty of benches and picnic tables where you can sit and people-watch, or you can take a walk or bike ride along the trail. The park is also a popular spot for fishing, bird watching, and photography. Restrooms: Clean restrooms Picnic area: Have plenty of picnic tables to relax
Great place for a ride or walk. No shade, so bring the sunscreen. Excellent breeze of the lake. Right behind Summerfest, can hear the bands.
It’s a nice park with good views of downtown Milwaukee and the lake. You can park on the street, just look around for parked cars, I went on a weekday around 3pm and easily parked my car. There’s no fees to park could be or enter the park, restroom is only porta potty which was s-hittier than s-hitty. There’s paddle boat rentals as well, at the start. Walk is pretty fun throughout the trail, at the end there’s a lighthouse. Overall if you like peace and wanna chill, definitely go.
I’ve and clean place to go for a walk during the arthritis Irish fest run and walk event.
