Everything you need to know about the Lake Worth Warriors Pop Warner Football program.
REGISTRATION is well underway and we have organized our coaching staff for our Tiny Mite, Mity Mite, Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Jr. Midget & UNLIMITED teams. Through June and July each of our teams will are formed based on the results of registration. Exactly what level your child will play at is based on his age and his weight. It is important to note that at the higher age levels, many of our former players go on to play for their high school teams. As a result, we sometimes fall short of the required number of registrants needed to form a team at these age / weight levels and must return your registration fees if this is the case.
Our teams practice at the same time at Warrior Stadium at Memorial Park and also Howard Park. Our first practices will take place around the first of August. In the 2015 season, teams will generally practice each week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings with new times from 6:15 to 8:15 pm for the first several weeks. Your coaches will contact you before August 1st to introduce themselves and provide you with any necessary information. More information will be provided to you about how the season will proceed in the first few practices. Information will be collected so that your child's jersey can be ordered, and each player will be issued helmets, shoulder pads, 7-piece pad set and pants (practice and game). This is an exciting time for the kids as they receive their equipment. It generally takes a few practices to properly fit and issue equipment to each player.
As an official member of the Treasure Coast Pop Warner Conference (TCFC), each of our teams will play other Pop Warner association's teams around Palm Beach County. Usually 50% of your games will be at another association's fields somewhere in Palm Beach County. This schedule is prepared by Treasure Coast Pop Warner, and is usually delivered to our Association the week before the season's games begin. There are roughly 8 to 10 weeks of games depending on your level and the number of teams in the league each year.
