Lakeside Health Center

My mom was recently sent here from the hospital after a close to death experience at another facility. When my mom was admitted she couldn’t walk, talk, and was incontinent due to malnutrition. She also had a feeding tube in and was not showing any sign of recovery. Within 60 days Lakeside helped her not only physically, but emotionally. I picked up my mom yesterday on day 60 to move to an assisted living. She not only could walk, talk,, and feed herself, but she gained at least 20 pounds back, made friends, and was smiling! It is never a positive situation when a loved one has to move to a facility like this but i am so thankful for the staffs kindness and care they gave my mom in her two month stay. Only negative I can say is the intake process. She was shuffled in the back door like a new stock delivery, while the alarm was blaring like someone was escaping. I was given zero information and no one seemed even informed she was coming. If I could give one piece of advice, it’s change the process for new patients as it’s very unwelcoming and scary. But also, I can’t judge a book by its cover because once she was out of the “quarantine” side, everything was great. Oh. And my mom loved the food! And she’s picky :

Your facility in WPB Florida not only allowed my mother to sit in your 1980 bed with no rails, fall resulting in a hematoma and slowly die as I called 911 4 times in 8 days to get her back into a hospital setting as if that wasn't enough they forced me to visit her through a window dodging spiders and bugs as I trembled sick to my stomach. Lakeside aides /CNAS not only ignoring the severity of her illness but also lying to paramedics all 4 times they showed up. Lakeside nursing home and rehabilitation lied about a covid positive patient to try and legally keep me from her. I have filed complaints and so has the epidemiologist of the Florida department of health. This facility killed my mother and I will not stop until it is shut down completely.

My brother was there for approximately 10 years. I have nothing but great things to say about ALL the employees there. My brother was a character and a handful but all the employees loved him and treated him kindly. My brother has since passed away but I received no less than 4 phone calls from various employees saying the place is not the same without him. Im sure they dont hear it enough but YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

Very poor staffing. Nursing staff does not know the basics of nursing care, the assistants do not care about the patients and are abusive. Nurses get medications wrong and one patient went to the ER overdosed and requiring resuscitation not once but three times in one four week period. The physical therapy amd occupational therapy is virtually non existant and is there to bill medicare only. The staff has English as a second language most speak only Spanish, French or Creole. They do not have command of English especially medical terms. 85% of conversations are in other than English. Administration lies incessantly and embezzels patient funds.

This place is the worst nursing home ever,my grandma fell here lost her memoryand wasn't right ever since.They told me she hadn't eat in three days,when I came with food everyone was eating except my grandma they said she did want the food. She hadn't eat in three days they didn't even put her plate down, they just took it away. My grandma and I had been complaining for 3weeks about her not being able to breathe, they did nothing. Ultimately after many complaints for weeks,she was finally called an ambulance where they gave her oxygen.there was lots of fluids in here lungs. They reassured me she was ok and could breath she died 5 days later.2days of her in the emergency room they packed up her stuff, which was picked though and property was stolen. Horrible

My sister received exceptional care from nursing staff. Even with Covid, we were able to have small celebration for her birthday! Thank you for all your efforts.

I work alongside the most honorable people I ever met .. appreciate everything they have done to make this facility a better place.

My brother has been there around about 7 years and he has no complaints he loved the place

There are plenty of passionate and hardworking employers that go above and beyond for patients.

This place hasn't been honest about how my mom passed in their care. All I get is the run around no clean answers. They will not for some reason give me her medical records
