While this is definitely more 'motel' than 'hotel', it's clean and quiet, and in a great location right at the top of the lake. The views are great, and the people who work here are really wonderful! We had good homemade breakfast sandwichs in the cafe, with the bonus of 25% off for end-of-season! The room we had with 2 double beds was definitely tight for space, and the shower is very small, but for a place originally built in the 1950's, it's in great shape. And a bonus is potentially getting to see Travis Mills, a true American hero look him up. Right next door is the Wild Duck Inn, so you have a restaurant a good one within walking distance. We had a great stay.
We had 10 people scattered over 2 rooms in the hotel and 3 cabins. We also rented a pontoon boat for the week. Everyone enjoyed their accommodations, their time on and in the lake, grilling and sitting by the fire pit in the evening. The staff was attentive, friendly and helpful. We all had a great time. The cafe and store within the location were a handy addition since our last visit. The brew pub next door had great food and drinks and is just a 3 minute walk from anywhere on the property. Nearby activities: As stated above, there's a brew pub just next door with good food & drinks and live music on the outdoor patio most evenings. The real draw here is the lake itself. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and cruised the lake daily, anchoring in coves and picnicking and swimming. We saw osprey with babies in the nest, loons and a bald eagle dive bombing and stealing a loons catch as he came up from a dive. My two young grandchildren had a ball catching their first fish and loads more right off the docks. We got home yesterday, everyone is wishing we could go back today.
Good value, clean rooms, air conditioned, very friendly staff, great location. We picked Lakeside because of its location to drop off and pick up a week later our son at the Y camp nearby since we live 5 hours away. It was what we needed. Rooms: Nice to have a kitchenette in the room, but fridge is noisy at night. Very clean room. Beds are small but comfortable
The room was priced right and ten feet from the marina. The bed sucks. I slept on the floor. We ended up not staying for the second night as my back would not take any more but I would easily come back with an air mattress and stay again.Rooms: 4/5
Stopped in one day to see what they had for tackle staff is very knowledgeable of everything there, the local fisheries and tournaments happening excellent prices as well! Def going backRooms: 5/5
Overall we had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was small, but had everything we needed. It was right on the lake so fishing and boating was available. We would go back again.Rooms: 4/5

The view of the lake is beautiful and the lodge was overall calm and quiet for a holiday weekend. The breakfast sandwiches and coffee at the lodge store were very good.Rooms: 4/5
I love coming here in the summer with my family. The staff is always so friendly. There's so much to do here. Good place for the family.Rooms: 5/5
