Great camp and retreat center. I’ve been a participant and a resource person at this campsite for over 2 decades and it is by far one of the best sites especially due to the size of the meeting rooms and accommodations they provide. Not too much to do camping wise but it’s a definitely a cut above the rest for large group retreats
No internet service for guests. The wifi they provide is pointless. Lakeview blocks EVERY single site. Therefore my church group could not load our activities. And personally, i could not use my email which delayed my tax form submission with my preparer. This caused a major inconvenience for all of us. Also, the housekeeper brought our cabins linen in the back of the maintenance truck. The toilet plunger, along with other cleaning supplies, was in the back of this truck, EXPOSED not covered rolloing around with our linen. This was a HUGE safety issue involving sanitation and health. I will never return. I do not recommend.
This place is great for kids. I came here on a work trip with a group of youth and they all enjoyed themselves. There were other groups here as well like a youth baseball team. There were good activities here for them that included inside game play, full basketball court, archery, volleyball, workout area, and a huge lake area to name a few. I learned archery while I was here. I surprise myself Lol. The lake area has a huge water activity for people to enjoy. Sleeping arrangements are cabins bunk beds twin size with shared showers and restrooms. You share with the group you're with. What I didn't like was ALLL THE WALKING!!! OMG! Be prepared to do a lot of walking because a lot of the areas are spaced out with the lake being the longest walk. If you are here when the sun is frying you like I was, make sure you are drinking plenty of water!!
This was the most modern, comfortable and easily accessible camp I'd ever been to. Great facility, good meals too.
Hmm, First time here. Our room had a horrible "moldy smell" that never went away even after opening the windows and trying cool AC. I never found an ice machine even though they leave a bucket for you. The food was basically frozen meals heated up. Not at all healthy, no fresh fruit anywhere. The only machine that had water bottles to dispense was "out of order". The pathways need repair. The bed was firm, not very comfortable and the pillows seemed old, none of which were the same size. I didn't try the zip line but I heard the guy at top saying all the harnesses were put on backwards by the guy at the base ??? And they used a ladder to bring you off which didn't seem the safest thing to do. Our companions were the best thing about this site.

Lakeview camp has been around for approximately twenty three years. Facilities are constantly upgraded and modernized. During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic the facility has maintained the strictest and safest guidelines. From closing during periods of high outbreaks. Restricted access during periods of limited use. Waterslides, basketball, tennis, swimming, weightlifting and numerous games for all. Staff are friendly and supportive of a wonderful religious retreat environment. On site dinning hall is well staffed and the cafeteria style food varies depending upon your groups selection. A fantastic faith based family retreat. While owned by the Assembly of God the facilities are one hundred percent non denominational faith based retreat.
This is the most amazing place!! If my child could live here he would!! He literally walks onto the campus and says, “This place feels like home!” The waffles, baked chicken, amazing salad bar, all make for a great week of food. The cabins are very spacious and have the best views. The staff is caring, loving, and helpful with what ever we need. We live for our time at Lakeview every summer.
Our church/ organization has been bringing a group of kids, teenagers, and adults to Lakeview for over 10 years. This place has one of the nicest facilities of any camp and retreat center for the price. Their staff knows what they are doing and want the best for their guests! We have never left unhappy with anything under their control.
Great place to be!! Dorms are great, people are so genuine, and the food is so amazing!
