Maybe we did not pick the best time to camp here 4th of July weekend. The place was packed and very noisy all weekend. Didn't get any sleep because our neighbor was having a keg party. The dumpster area was overrunning with garbage. The restrooms were filthy and trashed. It is probably different on normal weekends but I doubt we will be returning.
Our cabin was adorable! Very clean. We slept great! It was nice and quiet. While I appreciate the glade plug in, I had to unplug it because the cinnamon scent is a migraine trigger for me. Maybe put some curtains over the blinds in front because that pole light is bright!! Thanks for a great stay! We will definitely recommend
Quaint little spot for easy get away from the city. We only tent camped and while we had a blast, lots of parts are run down. There were a few platforms for camping, but the platforms were not in great shape, the rest was open field/woods camping. RV sites seemed to have it best. Seemed like a lot regulars who came frequently or stayed long periods. Pool was clean and ok size and nice to have since you can't swim in the lake; and the lake not very used. We went on Labor Day weekend and it was pretty empty at the whole resort minus RV campers. Mini golf was run down and not much else regularly going it seemed unless at the pool cookouts or in RV section. Overall, if you want to tent camp but you can't park by your spot unless you get the few spots next to the bathroom with a few perks, it's an ok place. Kids liked the playground. Cabins were booked so didn't get to check those out. Probably a good way to go there too!
My fiancé and I stayed in one of the mini cabins. Before booking I was dismayed that there were not pictures of the inside of the cabins so now I am posting some. The mini cabin was clean but it is definitely MINI!! Not much space to maneuver around but totally fine if one person is cooking. Loved that there was a mini fridge with a small freezer section, a range with 2 burners, and a microwave to cook with plus pots pans and dishes there as well. We also forgot our grilling utensils there so there should be something to grill with unless they removed those grill accessories. We stayed during the week and it was great, the park was pretty empty and I don’t think it would have been that great if it were all full simply because you are like 4 ft from the other cabin. But it was perfect for just us being there. The pool is decent but definitely grab an umbrella from the front gate for some shade, otherwise there is none it’s a $20 deposit If you are going to mini golf you should also lather up on sunscreen because there is not very much shade out there either. The greens for the mini golf holes are pretty torn up but you can play around the shredded parts and still have fun. But it really should be fixed for a smoother game :
My fiancé and I stayed in one of the condos here for a weekend while attending a wedding. We absolutely loved it. It was such a nice getaway from the real world. The condo had everything you would need as if it was your own house. It was priced well for how many people you could sleep there. There wasn’t any service which was a huge plus in my mind. The pool was very well maintained. The only downside is getting to the condo we were in I think it was condo 6? you had to cross a bridge that dipped super low. If you have a low car we have a Jetta, you will bottom out unless you take a bridge at an angle. Other than that, we had a great time!
My only complaint is that some of the older camper sites 1-6 could use some tlc, the newer ones looked very nice and I plan to camp in one of them on our next visitRooms: 4/5
My children and I have been going for about 4yrs now and we love it... very kid friendly with plenty of things to do to keep everyone entertained!!! Very clean and well maintained grounds, buildings and bathroom/shower houses!!!
Nice quiet place to stay. Full hook-ups. Just gravel drives, so ground would be soft and muddy with a good rain. Decent shower and restrooms. One washer and dryer in the bathhouse. I think there is another larger laundry that can be used in the resort. Too early in the year to use the other facilities. We'll be back next year.
It's very clean. Great for just an overnight stay but very off the beaten path. It's a private resort that's open to public I guess is how you'd say it. The pool area is very nice. They whole area wasn't very "homey" or "comfee" though. Just plain & stuffy to myself and my husband.
If you are not a member you don't seem to welcome. The music was so loud on Saturday night you could hear it from inside our RV 6 spots away. Most of the spots are taken by full-time campers. The camp host was rude and not involved in anything that goes on. Not a great time. Probably will not be back.
