Lakeview Lodge

Description

The Lakeview Lodge is located in downtown Harrison overlooking Lake Coeur d' Alene and the Trail of the Coeur d' Alene's Bike trail. We are the gateway to the Shadowy Saint Joe River as well as the historic Coeur d' Alene River and the Chain Lakes. Nature abounds in the pristine environment of the river basins. Visitors have reported exciting encounters with Deer, Bear, Moose and Elk: as well as Ospreys, Bald Eagles, Blue Herons, White Pelicans and more.

Numerous fishing tournaments for Big and Small Mouth Bass, Northern Pike, Sockeye, and Walleye are scheduled throughout the year. Boaters of all types enjoy the uncrowded waters of the south end of Lake Coeur d' Alene. We offer easy access to Harrison's County Marina for boat launching and moorage facilities.

Nice location right on the lake. There are a couple simple places to eat with good burgers & salads and a local shop that has good breakfast plus a great bike shop. The beds were super great with lots of pillows. A simple breakfast can be had in the check in area. Great area for passing through to Coeur d'Alene or renting a bike, or launching your boat. Nice people at the check in.
Possibly one of the nicest Motels. The rooms were clean and decorated nicely. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the views were spectacular. Easy access to the Coeur d'Alene Trail. We will stay there again.Rooms: 5/5
The room was clean, the king size bed was comfortable, and the view was great from the patio. We liked it because it was quaint. We were not looking for some fancy resort. Easy walking distance to everything in town and some great places to eat and drink. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. We would definitely stay there again.
The location of the lodge is perfect in a fabulous little town. We've stayed here several times over the last 4 years and keep coming back. The suite spaces we have rented are all very clean with adequate kitchen supplies. This is the first time we cooked several times. Bring your own knife, and we brought our air fryer for easy cooking clean up. Cathy is very obliging and kind. She was always available when we needed anything. The prices have risen and are quite high given certain issues old noisy air conditioning system, average beds, etc. Having said this we enjoy the space with easy access to the dock, coffee shop, One Shot Charlies, etc. Note - do not park your car/trailer on the street spots in front of the warehouse next door. Someone who works there hit our truck with a fork lift he was moving around. They didn't even mention it to us. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot at the lodge.
Location, location, location with a view, but not much else. Our mattresses were softer and lumpier than melting huckleberry ice cream which is a local treat. The front office isn't staffed regularly, but when the host was there, she was very helpful. There's no ice machine, but you can get a few cubes from the host. Though our room was clean and good-sized, the furniture was aging, there were no drawers, and it lacked enough towels and drinking cups. Minimal outlets made us choose between the fridge, the microwave, lamps, and our precious i-devices. It's in a great setting with a grand lake view via balcony, and shaded outdoor tables, but overall, the room and the building and grounds were not well maintained. Across the street is a fabulous cafe and coffee/wine/beer bar that rents bikes; directly behind the lodge, there's access to the lovely Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes -- both are big plusses in this village. With some updates and maintenance, this lodge could be top-notch!
It is a great place to run away to. The room was clean and the view of the lake was absolutely amazing. It was a nice little hideaway in a great little town. I came home refreshed and my car was a happy camper with the curvy roads!!Rooms: 5/5
Slim pickings here. Over priced! I get it you are paying for the view but seriously this is just an old motel with a view. The room had two queen beds, refrigerator, microwave,TV and coffee cups. The coffee cups had pour over pods but no pour over holder?? We stayed out of necessity while on a bicycle trip. They do accommodate bikes but the bikes need to be stored on the patio. Unfortunately our patio sliding door was blocked by the loveseat.
They helped me and my fiance by letting us stay and work for them. And during this time, we were paid under the table and things were going good. Until some drama up the road happened and they fired me and my fiance and left us and our little dog on the street in cold weather without paying us for all of our hours worked. We we're short hundreds and left 7 hours away from our closest help. They only used my fiance to deep clean there rooms before summer came because not of there cleaners were showing up to do it themselves. She used her own professional supplies to help this place prepare for summer, just for them to screw her. I personally feel that the owners are shady all around.
Lake view lodge was a great to us. We were a group of bikers looking for a place to stay. The owner took us in and went the extra mile to accommodate us. Great bedrooms and a great view of the lake. Would highly recommend for any traveller!Rooms: 5/5
This is a great place for my family and me to stay when we go to Harrison. It's not fancy but it definitely has a lakeside lodge feel to it. It reminds me of the old lake cabin my grandparents used to have, a little worn down but cozy. There are a number of comfortable gathering places on the premises if you want to sit outside and visit with family and friends. The balconies on the back side of the rooms are nice for stepping out and admiring the view of the lake. I believe all the rooms have a mini fridge in them but at least one of the rooms upstairs has a kitchen with a refrigerator/freezer, oven/stove and sink. The upper level is not wheelchair accessible, however, so I haven't seen it. My family uses it to prepare meals for us though. It's great for extended stays. There is a wheelchair accessible room on the main floor if you need it. The lodge is high up away from the lake but it's not a long walk to get down to the beach. The path down to the water, where there is a boat launch, is a very steep hill with a lot of gravel. The gravel around the building can make it difficult to maneuver a wheelchair without assistance. The owners of the lodge are nice people who have always been accommodating.
