We've lived in the area for over 12 years. A friend mentioned Lakeway Market and Deli for lunches to go. We were a little suspicious since we always drive up to North Austin for fairly priced, tasty international fare. About a month ago we decided to give LM&D a try. Wow, just WOW! They have a chef in charge of the boxed lunches and he does a great job with a good variety of choices and quality and a friendly smile. Most lunches come with a protein and two vegetables, plus rice and tortillas. The other two cooks are in charge of the salad choices , and both Mediterranean and Indian foods. We tried those too and they are really, really good. What are the chances? We figure that there are several stars lined up: good management, excellent cooks and fresh, tasty food which is always replenished since the place is pretty busy during lunch hours. Give them a try and we guaranty you will not be disappointed. While there, make sure to say hi to the chef. Kudos. 11/13/21 Discovered that on Fridays they offer a delicious version of chicken biryani. A real treat.
I had the chicken shawarma plate. It was delicious! Flavor bomb! The market itself has everything you need. Can’t wait to come back and try other things!
I think 3 stars is fair and even generous, considering some of the issues this establishment has and the rude, unhelpful and dismissive attitude that i have consistently recieved over the years everytime i have a simple question about their menu. Perhaps i am not enough of a regular for them to care. Also, there's an issue with cleanliness. I wouldnt mind the dirty floors and dusty corners if this was a simple Convenience Store, but its not and the fact that its such a small space with a kitchen makes this an even more serious issue. Finally, theres expired and damaged items for sale and they refuse returns. So 2 of the 3 issues here are borderline illegal. On a positive note, the food dishes are very delicious and reasonably priced so if you dont have any questions and know exactly what you want then this is an option i guess, but if theres an issue with food or service dont expect them to refund you or even care to make it right. Infact youll be lucky if they dont get defensive and turn on you.
Raj and his friendly staff makes you feel at home. With an urban atmosphere reminiscent of a NYC corner deli/market, it has a lively environment that one would not expect tucked away in Lakeway! Grab a meal at their counter for freshly cooked Indian cuisine, wraps, gyros, etc., or grab prepackaged meals ready to go. Excellent food and affordable. Oh, and they have excellent wine selections and even a variety of local draft beers on tap. Thanks for the beer, Raj…cheers.
Best Chinese Food in Lakeway!! I am addicted to their Kung Pao Chicken and my kids love their Orange Chicken. They also crank out amazing Mexican dishes like Shrimp Diablo, Pork Tamales, and Chicken Enchiladas! Many of these dishes are ready or ready in just minutes. Pro tip- arrive around 1130 to get your freshly made lunch and grab a few entrees for dinner-right off the stove/grill! Don't forget to try their Burgers, Gyros, & meatball sandwiches! They also have a great wine selection and prices!! Support your local business! They are great folks!!
Amazing food, I have not had a bad meal from here. My favorite dishes are the Gyro Wrap and the Chicken Vindaloo. I have never been disappointed and I eat here about once a week
Excellent place with excellent hot food get their egg burritos in the morning before they sell out and all the necessary groceries you may need when HEB/Randalls is just a bit too much in the evening. Leaving this review to say how incredibly impressed I was with how the owners dealt with the ice storm in February 2023. They did not have power nor did anyone else so when I went in for milk and eggs for my kids but only had a credit card they let me take the food without paying, asking me to come back and pay when I could. Well I went right home and came back with cash but I was so happy to see such trust and community at the local store. I am a huge fan of this place now and forever. Thank you for making me feel like part of a community!
So the Falafel Wrap is not Mediterranean. Definitely Indian spices. The burger is dry, no cheese, and overall bad. I would save your money and go somewhere else.
I love this place! Never change, amazing food mexican, chinese and Mediterranean! Its a gem in Lakeway and has everything you need and a little more.
Been a customer for 5 years and was told today that they are losing buisness because apparently the lawn guys think my vehicle is Immigration and the owner of LWM feels he is looking money. I used to go to this store 2 to 5 times a day and to be told that because of the stupidity of others and there inability to read I now am not allowed to park my work vehicle in lakeway markets parking area. Shame on Raj and the entire market guess my buisness wasn't good enough. below is a photo of my work vehicle. I urge others to go to the TXB on 620 or the 711 outside of rough hollow
