Lanessa is probably the best therapist I've had. She's a great listener. She's funny with a kind and open demeanor. If she wasn't my therapist, I'm pretty sure we would be best friends. I never feel judged, She's never condescending to me and usually asks the right questions. Give her a chance if you've had bad experiences with past therapist!
I had a good friend who needed a therapist to trust while dealing with some tough things that came up unexpectedly. I know a few people who see Kerri and love her so I had my friend reach out. Kerri Pearson went out of her way to stay after and squeeze in an appointment for her. My friend was so impressed with her session and felt that Kerri really cared and was a huge help! I couldn't be happier for them and will continue to refer everyone to Kerri! Not many people care enough to go out of their way to be there for others. Super impressed with this counseling center!!

Counseling with Kerri changed my life! I sought different types of counseling/counselors, but her knowledge and counsel surpassed them all! I highly recommend this facility to everyone! They have a variety of counselors to help meet your needs, and they will walk through life with you!
I was hopeful with this place due to the fact that my son had been seeing a therapist here, he moved & we thought seeing the therapist that actually started the practice would be great- boy was I wrong!! We had been doing virtual sessions since the Covid crisis so our first session with Kerri Pearsonher practicewas as follows-no email with link for virtual session, I called no answer which she may have been with another client, understandable, left voicemail, sent an email- nothing. Fifteen minutes later, she comes on & meets with my son, suggests we do a google search for a personality test that costs $12 for results & for us to send them to her. He would meet with her in 2 weeks- ok, thought I’d give it another chance. So the 2 weeks rolls around, my son is sitting at his desk waiting for the virtual session. Nothing. I call, no answer, she then sends a text asking if we want to reschedule. She then calls after hearing my voicemail asking why she’s not online- she thought we were meeting in person! She scheduled the second session with my son knowing it was virtual! Her first words when she called were “ I’m not making excuses but....” she also mentioned she does NOT believe in virtual sessions as they don’t work. My son has a immunodeficiency disorder & I explained that in the first visit to be sure these visits were ok before moving forward. She was definitely all over the place & not organized if she couldn’t remember or make a note that our sessions were virtually. Horrible is not even the right word for this practice.
cara is the best therapist, she slays so hard. however the entire place smells like old people.
The counselors at Lakewood provide a welcoming atmosphere that combines professionalism & compassion. My experience with The Lakewood Group has helped me grow and I’m so thankful!
Such an amazing counseling center! Kerri Pearson is fantastic.
