Nice small walking park for dogs. But residents in the neighborhood don't seem to pick up their dogs poop like they should! Since it is small, just a little courtesy goes a long way! Especially in the short brushy areas!
It’s defiantly a place to walk around, but the land is far from a park. There is grass, a couple trash cans, and disposable bags for feces. I just kept on driving when I turned into the area. For small dogs, the space would work fine, but no trails.
I really like this area of this neighborhood. In between two streets they have a park running along between the two roads for about a half a mile. This and Hyde Park. This neighborhood is just beautiful. I walk through here a lot just to admire the different houses. They are all different. There is not one house that looks the same, unless it's the town home units. The old trees that line the street just adds to the beauty of this place. Also, to you can tell that this is an old neighborhood. The age and years really show in the nature and the few old houses that still stand between the million dollar condos that have sprouted up everywhere. It's quiet, and it's easy to get lost to the beauty of it. The park just adds another incentive to just want to be here. They have a side walk going through the middle of the park and there are a few benches here and there to sit down and rest but it's just a basic, small park nothing more, and nothing less. The only downfall about this and why it cost the fifth star is the homeless people. For some reason from here to Montrose to Westheimer this is where majority of the homeless people migrate too. Sad to say because I am an advocate for the homeless because I have been there, with homeless people comes trash, and sometimes drugs which can taint a beautiful place like this. Sometimes I will see some of them sleeping on the benches during the day, or I'll walk right across a needle or tiny drug baggies. That would be my only negative view about Hyde Park/Lamar Park.
It's nice to have a place to walk dogs in the neighborhood but there are always homeless types hanging around and leaving trash around. Today there was a guy screaming songs for over an hour. Wish we had a neighborhood watch or something to keep an eye out.
A park in name only. I was torn. In a way it earns zero stars. It is only a grassy island in the middle of a street. A basic divide. On the other hand they tried making the most of it with a brick path and a couple of benches. If not for a sign, you would not think it is a park.
It's a nice park. We enjoyed a lunch there. But the meth heads love to troll this park and buy/sell their wares here.
Very simple place. It's in a good, safe location. It has a couple of benches and people walk their lets there alot. It's a bit noisy from the traffic during evening rush hour but given the location that's to be expected. Overall a peaceful place to sit and think.
A wonderful place with a variety of beautiful hiking paths.
I enjoy it because it is peaceful, and has a spot to charge your devices. That spot is located on a pole in the middle by the water hose.
Very nice place and enjoyed just sitting there eating my food.
