Well undoubtedly, I would always give this place 5 stars. My family heritage and history starts with the first fireman in Dawson County, and runs through to my grandfather Ronnie Ray and my late father Kendall Amos, who ran the place for a brief time. When my father passed, just over a year ago, the team of the Fire Department stepped up to plate to help our family get through that rough time, with the last ring of the fireman's bell, to the Tribute of firetrucks and flag, as well as the procession after his service. Dear old Frenchie, as we call her, is holding out for one more run for Ronnie, but it always sends energy burst through my veins when I hear her siren yell aloud. Reminds me of those days when we did the "Pumper Races" and watched our family run for their lives. The men & women of the FIre Department all hold a special place in my heart, but atop all of this, they help keep our community, surrounding communities, and all of us safe from harm and fire.
