So sad to find a cemetery like the one here in Lamesa Texas. I can't believe it hasn't changed in 37 years. The thing of it all the cemetery is my safes place but very aggravating when I drive and see No results!!!
On April 7, 2016, my husband and I visited Lamesa Memorial Cemetery. We were with my brother and sister in law and we were all searching for my husband's father's grave. When we drove into the cemetery and saw how big it was, our hearts sank because we did not know where to begin our search. An employee of the cemetery saw us looking and immediately came to our rescue. His name was Richard Bautista. He walked to the office and found where the Graves were and met us. We found all the graves we were looking for and never would have found them without Richard's help. Mr and Mrs Larry Cochran
In July 2019 I visited my mother’s gravesite after a 5 year time away. I finally found my mother’s Cassie Hartsell Earhart grave marker buried under several inches of dirt and weeds. If I had not visited the cemetery her memorial would be lost forever. I am attempting to contact the cemetery staff but no answer, voice mail is full. Ron Hartsell
