We run a unique program, recognizing the importance of the arts. Here we offer an array of different classes. From Ballet and Jazz dance classes to Voice and Piano classes.

Our mission is to inspire, engage, and motivate each student to experience a rich curriculum of Arts. Our staff members are professionals in the specialized areas. We envision our students to have the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to flourish in every aspect of their artistic abilities and gifts upon completion of their studies.

CLASS DESCRIPTION
DANCE:
BALLET
Pre Ballet (ages 3-4)
This is a movement class that teaches rhythm, song body awareness, motor skills, and creative expression. Exercises are geared to the developmental and social skill needs of preschoolers. Children are introduced to the first steps and elementary terminology of dance. Children must be able to be independent from parent for the class.
Ballet I (ages 5-6)
This is a movement class that explores the elements of rhythm, motor skills and creative movement. Enjoyment of movement and music is emphasized. Most children are ready for an introduction to the barre and center work by age 7 or 8.
Ballet II (ages 7 - above) Teen/Adult Ballet
Careful, safe instruction allows the child to progress at his/her own pace to the next level. Correct body alignment and placement, along with understanding of musicality and expressiveness are emphasized. Students learn execution of advance terminology.
Pointe
Girls in Ballet III begin preparation for pointe work. When ready, they progress to pointe work at the barre, as well as advancement to Ballet IV and pointe work in the center of the floor, and begin learning classical variations such as “Swan Lake”, “Firebird”, and “Coppe’lia”
TAP
Tap and rhythms are taught with emphasis on correct technique and individual expression. Choreography and improvisation are taught, as well as a respect and knowledge of the history of tap and the great tap legends.
MODERN DANCE
This class emphasizes strength, flexibility, coordination and musicality. There are many styles of modern dance. Our classes emphasize Graham, Horton and Taylor technique.
JAZZ/HIP HOP
Dancers will have fun learning jazz technique. This is a fun upbeat class. Students will learn stretching techniques, jazz walk, introduce splits, turns, creative movement and choreographed routines. Hip Hop is a fast moving street style of dance. Students will learn different styles.
LITURGICAL DANCE (PRAISE DANCE)
Liturgical Dance class is a heartfelt expression of faith and prayer. Body, mind and spirit are connected to enhance the prayer or worship experience. Liturgical Dance can include modern, jazz, interpretive and circle dance styles. Bring what you learn back to your church or other platforms of expressions.
LAMPKIN'S SUPER STARS
This class is for students with physical/developmental disabilities. Students will learn to express their artistic gifts in vocals, dance and instruments. Students will have a recital and performance show. Special tuition offered!
PIANO/KEYBOARD
Piano/keyboard classes will cover theory, scales, chords, progressions and music literature. The group sessions will provide a rich learning environment for the beginning and intermediate student. We recommend private sessions for the more advanced/experienced students.
DRUM/DRUMLINE
This class is geared toward those who have little or no prior drum experience, but also accommodates intermediate players. We cover basics such as striking a drum properly, basic coordination drills, reading rhythmic patterns and playing for a group. Those with prior experience will be given more challenging rhythms and playing techniques.
VOCAL CLASS DESCRIPTION
Vocal classes will consist of teaching groups and individuals vocal warm-up and vocal techniques relative to breathing, proper tone placement, articulation, and projection. Stage presence, vocal performance, improvisation, learning different music genres and audition techniques, and learning how to prepare for major performances and competitions is also woven in the fabric of the class.
Privates Pedagogy
Our vocal instruction implements the "Genre Specific" method for Voice Lessons, in which students are encouraged to bring in music that they are familiar with and enjoy. The instructor utilizes their interests and encourages the student to sing in the genre in which they are naturally gifted and strengthen vocal ability to acquire other genres. The student will learn the breathing and vocal techniques. Styles include: jazz, musical theatre, opera, gospel, pop and more!
GUITAR – ACOUSTIC / ELECTRIC/BASS
The guitar program emphasizes a basic introduction to the guitar, teaching students a basic overview of the instrument. Each student will have the basic knowledge to pursue different styles of playing on either the acoustic or electric guitar. Students study the basic principle of chord play and single notes. Students are exposed to several genres of music.
SONG WRITING & COMPOSITION CLASS
Basic music theory including chord and scale construction, bass/root progressions, basic ear training for those systems. Examples such as Walter Piston, Paul Hindemith, Mike Levine (jazz theory) etc.Studies of lyric composition in varying styles and eras. Explore the concept and foundations of "lyric intelligence", meter and rhythms of lyric phrasing in appropriate styles. use of poetry and prose in musical composition.
ORGAN
Learn the basic registrations and chord structures on the organ. Chord inversions and various styles will be addressed. Basic feet and hand coordination will be introduced. Private lessons or Master classes are recommended for the more advanced organist.
