Been coming here for 30+ years. Still miss he grittiness of the old days, but they’re doing a pretty good job of working to class things up. Food is tasty. Portions can just be a bit stingy, especially given the ‘upgraded’ prices. Staff is very friendly, but not the fastest. Love the beach fries.Food: 4/5
Excellent experience all around. They have a "side bar" and lawn games to play while you wait. Parking can be a little difficult by boat or car but well worth the trip. Food was very good. Enjoyed crab cakes, burgers and salads. Order the Heck Yeah!!Food: 5/5
Our work group finished off the day with a late lunch. This place is amazing with the outdoor dining and being right on lake charlevoix! The menu is small and a little exotic for me but good all the same. I had the perch basket. The child with me had almost nothing to choose from. For kids... in my opinion this is not the place for them. It is fun and the service was great!
I met some out-of-state relatives for an impromptu lunch on a Thursday afternoon in early July. It was during the lunch peak time and 6vof us waited roughly 45 minutes for a table. We ordered drinks when we got to our patio table. The frozen drinks my cousin had a strawberry daquerie and I had pina colada were excellent. It took longer than anticipated to order our meals, but it was well worth the wait. We were enjoying a long overdue visit at this the lake side locale while people and boat watching. The food was delicious. I ordered the lake perch sándwich and the PB & J sweet potatoe fries. I know they sound unusual but they were surprisingly tasty. We lingered for awhile. We weren't made to feel like we should vacate the table for someone else. I don't know if this was because the crowd had started to disipate or because they just wanted us to feel welcome. What a great lakeside outdoor dining experience. I plan and look foreward to a return visit.
Oh my goodness! This place was the best! First off, the seating was so much fun , mostly outdoors and it was fun to watch the boats dock. The ferry was interesting to watch going across also. I had an amazing Greek Lamb Burger. The flavors! Wow! So good and juicy! My husband had the perch and the light coating on them was superb! Even the homemade chips and french fries were delicious. My husband and I went on a beautiful sunny day and sat by the docks and ate one of their double chocolate mint ice cream sandwiches! Our waitress and the hostess were perfect and friendly. Great experience! It was one of my favorite parts of my day!
The Landing Restaurant is open for the season. A special place, beautiful setting, great food, drinks and service. We enjoyed our lunch there today.Food: 5/5
1st time visiting. Got there b4 the rush and food was good. The pulled pork sandwich was huge and delicious. Perch basket was good but the Mahi Mahi bites were even better. The lobster roll was pricey but also large and delicious. Go ahead and treat yourself. Would have liked to see more seafood options not just fried. The staff was inexperienced, but that will get better with time. And if you have kids, don't miss the Sidebar! Games and they sell ice cream that was delicious. I was vacationing so not sure when I will get back, but I rarely give 5 stars unless it is earned. Don't forget the ferry nearby.
What a great spot for food and a drink after taking a short ferry ride. Our server Alex was absolutely the best. Knowledgeable of the entire menu for food and drinks and never left us waiting for anything. The atmosphere of the outside seating can’t be beat by anywhere else we know. We will be back when in the area!Food: 5/5
We arrived with 6 kids under 6 and 7 adults. We were seated right away at 2 tables on the deck. Our server was attentive, friendly, and competent. All the other staff we interacted with were the same. The food was delicious and hot. Most ordered the whitefish. It was all eaten! They have applesauce available with the children's meals, or fries, or chips. The adult beverages were creative and delicious! The kids loved watching the boat traffic, especially the car ferry, and the ducks. Kid-friendliness: High chairs were available, and the straps worked.
Thank you Clare for your top notch service and smile. We had a large group and separated the kids from the adults. She took great care with both tables, even though we probably were not as easy table to accommodate. She separated our bills for several families for us, while doing it with a smile and getting it all correct. The food was delicious and served promptly. View and atmosphere is amazing!
