Dr Lahtinen is my daughters pediatrician and she is amazing! Cannot say enough good things about her and this office. She always takes such great care of us and provides great recommendations. We have truly never had a doctor like her and would recommend her to anyone in the capital district! The office staff is great as well, very attentive and responds quickly!
I've been going here 25yrs & I had an referral issue with my insurance. They refused to let me speak to the referral specialist as 'it has nothing to do with her!', refused to sit with me & call my insurance, 'we already called once & we won't do it again.' Then claimed I was harassing them by calling to ask to speak to the referral specialist, & discharged me as a patient & had me blacklisted from everything CCP. I contacted MULTIPLE people questioning what I did wrong, what could I do differently, etc & literally NO ONE there cares for any type of resolution. I've never had any issues in the 25yrs & I'm still confused. Don't go here if you care about care & thought towards your health.
Dr. Lahtinen is amazing. Thoughtful, responsive, and really does take a deep interest in the child. I can't imagine how much stress these doctors are under nowadays -- and yet, when we are with Dr. Lahtinen or corresponding with her -- it really does feel like we are her only patient.
We have been going to this practice now for almost 6 months with our baby girl and she sees Dr. Lahtinen she’s wonderful very thorough and patient answers all our questions. The nurses and staff are wonderful, we have been able to get appointments for same day when things have come up that are emergency related. When we have questions after hours and are unsure we always get a callback. We definitely recommend this practice.
My kiddos have been going here since 2009. Never a bad experience. I'm lucky enough to now to be apart of this team and I can say with honesty , I trust my children with every one of them. Very knowledgeable,kind and compassionate. Always recommend Latham pediatrics to everyone that asks.
We have had nothing but wonderful experiences with all of the staff at Latham Pediatrics. The ladies at the front desk are always welcoming and efficient. The nurses never make us feel rushed and are very personable. We see Dr. Matott and cannot recommend her enough. She is patient, thorough and understanding. We are first time parents with lots of questions and she always takes the time to answer each one without making us feel like our questions are silly or ridiculous.
I had blood work done 2 weeks ago. I waited for results to be mailed, as they usually arrive within 3-5 days. Nothing arrived in the mail. I finally connected to the portal, which is difficult to work through i.e. must print every stat individually through .pdf. On my appointment day, I asked the nurse, then the doctor to add my blood type to the tests. Nowhere to be found in results. I called Internal Medicine and asked that they forward my blood type and full blood work results via mail. I received a call later on from “someone” who told me they hadn’t added the test I asked for twice and to go to “The Red Cross” and give blood to get my type. I’m not going downtown to hang out with crack addicts to give blood. I pay $370+ insurance every two weeks and $40 co-pay for these tests. Seriously unacceptable in this situation. May be time to move on.
This is the facilities my kids been more than 5 years. When I need to see doctor during sick visit we never get an appointment. After several days of calling we had no luck to get an appointment. Finally, we were frustrated and try to get an appointment to new facilities and CCP send the paperwork but unfortunately we can't get the new providers since the providers only see newborn. We tried to get back to CCP and called front desk and they denied and front desk lady Kim was extremely rude. This is very unfortunate CCP should take care this bad behave front desk employee.
I'm a pretty anxious Mom, I usually have a good amount of questions and I like to have a good amount of info about my children's care and health. I have a 2 year old and a newborn and I'm always happy with Community Care Pediatrics-Latham. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. I never feel silly for calling and asking to speak to a nurse when I have concerns. I don't feel rushed during appointments and we barely ever have a wait in the waiting room. My children see Melissa Deimling who is thorough, honest, informative, supportive, and a pleasure to talk to. My kids have also seen a couple other providers when we can't get in with Dr. Deimiling and have been happy with everyone. We've also had a couple last minute virtual appointments which was so nice to have reassurance without needing to bring a newborn into the office unnecessarily.
My wife and I have been bringing our son to the practice since he was born and have nothing but praise to say about the office. The reception staff is exceptionally polite, the nurse and doctors are knowledgeable and patient, and our experience overall has been overwhelmingly positive. So much so that we have recommended this practice to my sister and my wife’s sister and now all of our children are patients here. Could not recommend a better place to take your pride and joy.
