So clean!! Everyone who walk’s in who works here says good morning everyone.  Everyone is so friendly and actually knows how to braid with you having to keep telling them how to braid your own hair! They have tea for you to make and cold water machine The seating area so comfortable and cozy. My 1st time coming here and will be back again. I am going to try and gate keep this. The wait is not long, they also offer to wash your hair and blow dry not sure of the charge for that. Looks like they touch up dreads as well. I wish I could give more then 5 stars.I love how neat each person braids not just one person. Their AC was on full blast but not enough to make you cold but comfortable very important on these hot summer days. 10 out of 10!! I’ve visited here twice to get my hair done by Onika. Specialty in silk press & weaves. Her price was decent $150 so I booked for a silk press. I was disappointed to find she was tending to another client despite booking an appointment, but I let it go. My hair came out great & she was knowledgeable. I booked a second time & to my dismay after confirming, she rescheduled me due to the shop needing maintenance. The problem was, she only notified me a day before our appointment so I’d already taken my hair out of braids. I asked when’s the earliest she could take me & she dismissively told me I had to wait because she had other clients with first priority. That was shocking because my appointment was before theirs & as the professional should tell all of her clients she will service them in the sequence of who was inconvenienced first. Nonetheless I had no choice but to wait considering I’d already paid a deposit. My hair became a little more tangled because again it’s been out for days without treatment. I obviously wasn’t going to do my own hair because that’s the service I’m buying from her. When I finally did see her, again, I had to wait an hour after an agreed upon time because she was doing another clients hair. When she got me in the chair I was highly irritated because I rushed getting there, having to pay for garage parking downtown BK parking is cut throat!, after a long days work, to still have to wait. After we were done it was about 8pm I told her to wrap my hair because I’m going to bed & asked her the price. This lady looked me in my face & told me it was $160. Keep in mind I’d already paid a $40 deposit, totaling $200! I asked why considering the last time, I was charged $150 for the same service. She said, because your hair was thick with buildup. I was surprised by the greed & beyond tired so being fed up, I paid & vowed never to return.  To my dismay the next morning as I was getting ready for work, my hair was frizzy. No way did I just spend $200 for a silk press for my hair to look like a blowout less than a day after. I contacted her with pictures & she squeezed me in a day later. While I appreciated the urgency, its annoying I now have to make another trip after an already bad experience. And having it done over put extra stress & tension on my hair. After redoing it, my hair came out correctly but when I washed it out, I did end up having heat damage from having to done twice. I’ll never book with her again.

Latifa’s daughter, Mama, did such beautiful knotless braids for me. She was very receptive to my desires for my hair, delicate with my edges, and had great technique. All the women in the shop help each other finish the hair they are doing and are very kind. I haven’t had anyone touch my hair in years, and I’m so thankful she was the first to do so. Plus, she was so patient seeing that I have a lot of hair on my head. She was a wonderful recommendation from my sister, and I’m incredibly grateful to her.  I’ll definitely be back.   p.s. just book on a day when you aren’t stressed to go somewhere! Braiding takes time and the care you want for your hair also needs to be given to others. So be patient and relax while you wait to start your own  There’s lots of bubble tea and food in the surrounding area.

Hello all of my hair stars this is my first time here and I will be back.  I called and they welcomed me.  They are honest about your hair and the style you want to achieve.  Latifa and her team did my hair.  Her daughter blow dried my hair and Latifa went to work.  My hair came out beautiful.  She does not braid tight. My hair is gorgeous., Neat, NO MOOSE, Natural hair and cornrows with moose can dull out a style......LADIES THE SHOP IS CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL.  Last thing it was $20 a large braid  WHICH IS REASONABLE she does not charge for the tiny cornrow in between. Just last year it was $10 A braid HOWEVER LIFE CHANGES AND HER WORK REFLECTS IT. Ladies don't miss out on this clean, glamorous professional shop.  Fyi its 1 flight up NO ELEVATOR. I WILL BE BACK. They also have a Queens doing perms, wash and set , dreads THEY ARE SLAYING HAIR IN THIS SHOP.Services:&nbsp;Braids

Boy am I disappointed. I made an appointment a week and a half ago to go  and have my hair done by Mama at 3:30 then at 2pm she texted me to go at “5:30 or 6” I asked which one as it was a rainy day and I did want to linger. No response. I said I’d go at 5:45 no response got there at 5:40 and she told me “ another day is will be better “.  I have a week planned with work and personal events and counted on my hair being done today. The whole thing was handled in a very unprofessional manner. First time going to this salon and i will go again. The stylist, I believe her name was Chrystal was very friendly and very gentle when detangling my natural hair.   I went and got a shampoo / conditioning with a blowout and for the price of $50, I will def become a regular.Services:&nbsp;Shampoo &amp; conditioning

ILL NEVER GO BACK TO GET MY HAIR DONE HERE… I GOT JUMBO COI LEE RAY BRAIDS SHORTER THAN THE PICTURE I SHOWED … first of all my braids don’t match the picture the curls didn’t even hold .. they charged me $40!!!! Just to wash my hair and I didn’t even need it washed but because they don’t rinse I had to wash my hair . The lady told me the style was $160… plus $10 for the hair  and $40 for the wash… at the end of my service I paid her $190.. she had the nerve to tell me .. THE STYLE WAS $190! DO NOT GO HERE !! .. go to Harlem 125th st where they charge you $200 for ANY size ANY LENGTH any kind of braids and they come out really nice .. these braids won’t even last me long cause there jumbo .. yet I still have her $210.. Personally I wouldn’t go back to this salon. While I was appreciative of the ability to do the walk in - my knotless braids are all different lengths. Hair wasn’t added in when needed and it looks choppy.

Came in on a Saturday morning as a walk in and was immediately sat. The salon was clean and all the ladies were very nice. In at 10am, out at 4pm. Super clean parts! Would come again, thanks ladies!

I came for 8 stitch braids originally but changed the style to 6 stitch braids with two zig zag parts. It took longer than expected but the finished look was great.Services:&nbsp;Braids
