Laughlin Elementary School

Wouldn't allow no STAR rating!!! School has become horrible over the last couple years. Just look it up William G Bennett Elementary School ranked worse than 61% of elementary schools in Nevada. It also ranked 115th among 210 ranked elementary schools in Clark County alone. They hired a new VP Dr. Karen Kip but honestly her credentials make her a glorified Manager and that's it. Seriously look it up!! Some Teachers are great and some I wouldn't even let wash my car. Staff yes has been there a long time, all over paid and act outside there capacity almost day to day. Child accused of bullying but come to find out my child is the one being bullied and retaliating against the bully. Bullying in all forms not just verbally but physically too including but not limited to other students but teachers/aides as well. So expect your child to be bullied with little to no recourse and to learn a lot of profanity as early as 2nd grade. My child isn't perfect by far and isn't challenged enough to be properly educated but given this common core standards we are all under control. Only other alternative's are to home school or move. I know a lot of other parents whom are having similar problems with "Kip" as she does not belong in the role she has, she needs to return to being a 6th grade teacher!! Kip refuses to listen to concerned parents, stating that a child's behavior is grounds to hold back or keep from progressing whether in class or in grade level. I'm sorry the attention span for a child that's bored is what two seconds I mean come on Kip make your teachers earn there extravagant pay and on a side note, take it all back to bullhead city, not many even reside in Laughlin and there children even go to AZ Schools. Education is the number one goal as I see it and when a child isn't challenged they get bored, acting out and/or goof off etc...So what seems to be the issue, well in my opinion for one America is ranked somewhere around 18th or 19th in the world which to me is a huge shocker so I leave you with this question, "why is this school so low just in Nevada alone"? .............Rant Over
