Passion is a strong and sometimes scary thing. If you have ever pursued your passion, then you know exactly what I mean. The fear of the unknown or of possible failure is almost killer, but the idea of walking around with dead dreams, to me, is even scarier. Growing up, my parents instilled in me a strong worth ethic and that is something I will always be grateful for. They taught me that if you wanted something, you had to work hard to attain it. I kept that mindset when I was a single mom, living off of Ramen Noodles and Fruit Loops.
In July of 2012, I decided to follow a small voice in my heart telling me there was something more. I told to my husband that I was entertaining the thought of bringing a selection of clothes and gifts into the pharmacy that he and I owned. After much discussion, we decided "What the heck! Lets go for it!” I KNEW IT WAS GOING TO BE HARD WORK! We decided to start out small. We brought in some game day attire, gifts, and a slim selection of women's clothing. Before I could blink, or so it felt like it, my tiny corner boutique had taken over the entire front end of the pharmacy. As I look back, I remember being so shocked on how fast we had grown. I was still unsure of what the future held. After a lot of prayer (and I mean a lot), we decided that my "Boutique" needed a place of its own. Everything began to come together so fast. Literally two weeks down the road, we owned the building next door to the pharmacy. I watched as Deuteronomy 3:18 took root in my life. My dream began to grow bigger and so in June of 2013, Lavish was born.
Now here we are, launching our new online clothing boutique, www.lavishboutiqueclothing.com, and I am still so amazed at how the Lord works. As I type this, I am so dumbfounded at the opportunities I continue to be given. I am so glad I decided to chase my passion four years ago. Lavish is my heart and soul nestled into its own unique place in historic downtown Jasper, AL. Lavish exists to provide inspiration and love to every woman, in every season of life. Although we do LOVE fabulous clothes and trends, it is about much more than that for me and my team. My vision is to ensure that every customer is welcomed into an encouraging and energetic atmosphere leaving them feeling radiant and beautiful. We cherish every relationship we build with each customer. Whether it is picking out the perfect outfit for a night on the town, a wedding, or their special occasion, it is a true joy to share those special moments with our customers.
My story, our story, is not yet finished. I cling to the hope and the promise that the best is yet to come. I believe that this is just the beginning.
