Andrea Conarro Woody is a 1995 graduate of Lumpkin County High School. She is a 1998 graduate of North Georgia College and State University, with an emphasis in English and French. She is a 2004 graduate of Tulane University’s School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Following law school, Andrea worked for three years as an assistant public defender with The Legal Aid Society in New York City. She defended people accused of committing crimes, and for a year specialized in the defense of alleged parole violations. She worked in Manhattan Criminal Court, Brooklyn Criminal Court, and at the Judicial Center on Riker’s Island.
In 2007, Andrea moved back to Georgia in order to be closer to family. She worked for a local divorce attorney, and then worked for a year and a half as a law clerk in the Superior Courts of the Enotah Circuit (which includes Lumpkin, White, Union, and Towns Counties).
Andrea opened her own practice in her hometown of Dahlonega in 2010. She is admitted to the Bar in both New York and Georgia.
