Mr. Fox started the Law Office of Michael E. Fox after acquiring more than twenty-one years of professional business experience and twelve years of legal experience, including more than seven years with an international law firm. He now offers the same "big-firm" level of service at more competitive rates.
Mr. Fox provides counseling, risk management, litigation management, trial, mediation and transactional legal services to his clients in difficult matters involving high-stakes business deals and significant exposure. In general, he counsels his clients in developing business strategies, assessing and managing risk, litigating complex disputes, taking cases to trial and negotiating agreements. More specifically, he counsels clients on high-stakes contracts, business torts, advertising liability, copyrights, trademarks, trade dress, trade secrets, defamation, privacy, publicity, First Amendment issues, licensing, antitrust issues, contractual interference claims and related business matters.
Mr. Fox also relies upon his background of more than 28-years of experience in architecture and construction to counsel clients on construction law matters. He also has experience handling professional liability claims, representing securities broker/dealers in FINRA arbitrations and representing clients in commercial real estate litigation.
Mr. Fox has successfully taken cases to trial before judges and juries in both state and federal courts in California. He has also successfully represented clients at numerous mediations and arbitrations all over California and in Chicago, Illinois.
Finally, Mr. Fox is a frequent speaker and a prolific writer. The topics of his lectures and publications focus on issues relevant to his law practice.
