Michael's expertise is putting together deals that add value to your bottom line and protect it with effective risk management techniques. His unique background as a project estimator, paralegal, and corporate counsel at Suffolk Construction, and as an entrepreneurial real estate attorney, broker, and development consultant makes him a valuable asset for your projects. Michael can help you identify investment opportunities, perform zoning analysis to determine how to maximize density, create construction estimates and development pro formas to calculate equity requirements and profitability, negotiate acquisition and financing agreements, create partnerships and business entities for executing the deal, raise capital, obtain permits and government approvals, create and coordinate construction documents, draft RFP's and obtain competitive bids from contractors, draft and negotiate necessary construction contracts and insurance products, create policies and procedures to limit risk, manage developments as needed, draft condominium documents for condo projects, and negotiate sale contracts or leases for the end units. Michael's goal is to make your project successful, so he also offers creative fee arrangements if you need to limit your up-front capital requirement to make the deal work.
Michael is a lifelong Bostonian and currently resides in West Roxbury with his wife and four children. He is a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School, Boston College, and Suffolk Law School. After his first year at Boston College Michael transferred to the night program so that he could begin working full-time at Suffolk Construction as a project estimator to accelerate his learning and experience. Michael continued this approach by entering Suffolk Law School's night program, at which point he was promoted to corporate paralegal and later to corporate counsel. At Suffolk Construction Michael was fortunate to learn from some of the best in the business working on Boston's most high-profile and complex construction projects. After ten years with the company, he decided to pursue his passion for real estate and founded his law practice and brokerage. Since then Michael has honed his real estate skills and developed a comprehensive package of services suitable for the new "gig economy", where investors and developers hire him as an independent contractor for the particular services they need on each project. This approach allowed Michael to quickly get involved with many deals in different capacities, further broadening his experience and expertise. This broad expertise and flexibility is what makes Michael a valuable asset to your real estate investment objectives.
