Attorney Spencer Cordell grew up in Kentucky and Ohio. He went to school near his hometown of Cincinnati at Miami University in Oxford Ohio, with a double major in Communications and French. While an undergraduate, Spencer competed in intercollegiate Mock Trial, including a trip to the National Championship Tournament.
After graduation, Spencer lived out his DJ dream and spent a year working for an independent radio station in Oxford. While it was fun, he decided to go back to school, following in his mother’s footsteps to law. He was accepted to the Boston University School of Law, where he served on the Student Bar Association and got his first courtroom experience in the Civil Litigation Clinical Program.
Out of law school, Spencer was hired by the State Attorney of the 20th Judicial Circuit where he worked until going into private practive in 2007. Spencer served the office in both Lee and Charlotte counties, prosecuting several areas of criminal law. While a prosecutor, Spencer earned valuable trial experience, including several high-profile cases, and looks forward to bringing his knowledge of the criminal system to the aid of his clients in private practice. Spencer opened his own practice in 2011.
