Ms. Alexander is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association.
For 30 years, Bonnie has handled hundreds of matrimonial matters in Illinois. She is a seasoned domestic relations lawyer who is well known by attorneys and judges throughout the state. She has been a highly successful litigation attorney, but her main goal is to reach an out of court settlement that is not taxing financially and emotionally to her clients. Her expertise extends from complex financial cases to difficult custody cases. She is a respected professional in Illinois Domestic Relations and Paternity courts.
Ms. Alexander was a single mother who raised her daughter while attending law school and working as an attorney, so, she knows, first-hand, the financial and emotional difficulties involved in divorce and single parenting. As a result of her personal and professional experience, she possesses the necessary legal skills, combined with compassion, patience and empathy to successfully maneuver through the legal system with excellent results for her clients.
Ms. Alexander began her legal career as a law clerk for the late Honorable Monica Reynolds and then became an Associate of Herbert A. Glieberman. After working with Mr. Glieberman, she became a partner at the Law Offices of Sun & Sun where she practiced for over ten years working extensively in all areas of family law from simple uncontested divorces and prenuptial agreements to child custody and child kidnapping cases. Ms. Alexander also worked as a sole practitioner before joining the Law Firm of Neil A. Robin in 2007.
Additionally, Ms. Alexander has dedicated many hours of volunteer time and effort to the following organizations:
∙ She is co-founder of Parental Stress Services of Metropolitan Chicago – a volunteer not-for-profit organization premised on preventing child abuse and neglect.
∙ She has served on the following not-for-profit boards as a board member and consultant: Citizens Committee for Parents and Children Under Stress, Parental Stress Services, Links, the American Indian Uptown Community, the American Indian Health Services and Sarah’s Inn.
Ms. Alexander is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association.
