Jordan holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2005, Jordan earned a J.D. plus a Juris Doctor Certificate in Real Estate Law from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois and was admitted to the Illinois Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. In 2006, he was awarded the Stanley W. Marion Real Estate Law Fellowship and earned an LL.M. in Real Estate from The John Marshall Law School.
In the public sector, Jordan was an Ill. Sup. Ct. R. 711 Law Clerk in the Building and Land Use Litigation Division at the City of Chicago Department of Law as well as the Felony Trial Division at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.
As an attorney in private practice, Jordan has represented individuals, corporations, developers, and institutional clients in connection with the acquisition, disposition, development, leasing, and financing of office, industrial, retail, and residential properties.
He has also advised individuals and commercial enterprises regarding various entrepreneurial concerns, including the formation, restructuring and dissolution of business entities, negotiation of contracts, drafting of controlling agreements, and obtaining trademarks.
Further, he has been responsible for all phases of litigation in real property and contract disputes, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, researching and writing legal briefs and memoranda of law, conducting factual investigations, negotiating settlements, taking and defending depositions, trial, and appeal.
Jordan has been a member of the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation Mentor Program, Illinois Real Estate Alumni Forum, Lambda Alpha International, American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Lake County, Illinois Bar Association, and Chicago Bar Association.
