Jyoti Ruprell is an active member of the State Bar of California since the year 2000 and is admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of California and Ninth Circuit US Courts of Appeals. She is a member of American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She focuses her legal practice in Immigration & Nationality Law and Family Law.
Attorney Ruprell earned her B.A. in Philosophy with a first class from Ramnarain Ruia College, Mumbai, India. She received her Bachelors Degree in Law from Government Law College and Masters Degree in Law from the University of Mumbai. While in India, she worked as an attorney with the legendary criminal lawyer and former Law Minister, Mr. Ram Jethmalani.
Prior to starting the Law Office of Jyoti S. Ruprell, she worked as an attorney with reputed law firms in San Francisco, California specializing in U.S. Immigration Law & Nationality Law. She has successfully represented aliens before the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration Courts and Board of Immigration of Appeals. Additionally, she served as a Pro Bono attorney for the Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach assisting battered spouses under the Violence against Women Act (VAWA). She has extensive experience in all aspects of business and family based immigration, asylum, cancellation of removal, waivers, deportation and removal proceedings, as well as citizenship and naturalization matters.
Born in a cosmopolitan city of Mumbai, Attorney Ruprell is a multi lingual personality and speaks Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, Gujarati and Marathi.
