Peter G. Bora has over twenty-six years of experience representing large clients in complex commercial litigation. Peter has received an AV rating (highest) from Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. Prior to starting his own firm, Peter was a partner with a large Chicago law firm where he concentrated his practice in insurance coverage. Peter has been responsible for management of complex litigation on behalf of various multinational insurance carriers. His cases have involved professional liability, construction defects, toxic torts, environmental and asbestos related bodily injury claims. Peter has maintained active case loads in Illinois and numerous other states. Prior to entering private practice, Peter served in the Circuit Court of Cook County as a judicial clerk in the Chancery Division for the Honorable Thomas J. O’Brien.
In 1989 Peter received his Juris Doctor degree, with distinction, from the John Marshall Law School, where he was a member of, and is published in, the Software Law Journal. Peter received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Illinois State University in 1984. Peter is a coauthor of the chapter entitled “Writings at Trial” in the treatise Illinois Civil Trial Evidence (Illinois) 2004 Edition, published by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education. In addition, Peter is a frequent speaker at various bar association seminars.
Peter is admitted to practice before the Illinois Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He has also been admitted pro hac vice in cases in Arizona, California, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin. Peter is a member of the American Bar Association.
