Richard began his career in the U.S. Marine Corps following graduation from college. After four years on active duty, Richard continued to serve for 20 more years in the Marine Corps Reserve, including one year back on active duty during Operation Desert Storm in 1990-1991.
Following his initial tour of active duty Richard accepted a position as a Special Agent with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). It was while with NCIS that Richard’s interest in the law was developed and took its natural course. Richard left NCIS to attend the Chicago Kent College of Law.
Richard's legal career has now spanned more than 20 years of successful service to individuals, families and businesses in Traverse City as well as other regions of western, central and northern Michigan.
