We provide information as well as books, movies, audio and Ebooks, magazines, computers, wifi and other items to the citizens of Lawrence County.
The Lawrence County Public Library was established by the Lawrence County Commission in 1941. It is jointly funded by Lawrence County government and the City of Lawrenceburg. The main branch is located at 519 East Gaines Street in Lawrenceburg, with a second branch located at 102 South Main Street, Loretto. The library has a variety of items available for check-out including books, movies, magazines, books on cassette and cd, and eBooks. Public computers as well as wifi are also available. We also have numerous programs that are free to the public such as computer classes, storytime, Summer Reading Program, book signings, 4th Thursday Book Club, and teen events. Friends of the Library, and the Teen Advisory Group are organizations open to those looking to support and promote the library.
