Welcome to the Office of Student Engagement at Lawrence Technological University, located in the heart of campus in the Taubman Student Services Center.
The Office of Student Activities has been renamed and is now the Office of Student Engagement. This change reflects an expansion of the scope and responsibilities of the office. In addition to supporting and/or organizing Discovery Days, Welcome Week, Student Government, student organizations and their advisors, the Miss LTU scholarship competition, multicultural support programs, and commuter student programs, the Office of Student Engagement will facilitate Greek Life and other activities that engage students on campus. Student Engagement better reflects the mission of the University and the office to involve students on campus and within the larger community.
The mission of Student Engagement is to encourage the intellectual, social, and civic development of students individually, and through student groups. The programs and services provided by Student Engagement are designed to encourage student development by:
- Stimulating an interchange of ideas, attitudes, and opinions.
- Providing opportunities for leadership and development of organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Contributing to a satisfying and enjoyable campus environment.
Our central belief is that students who are actively involved in campus life will find their experience at Lawrence Technological University to be more satisfying and successful.
