Beautiful scenery. We spotted a turtle family and multiple fish in the pond. The playground has a nice soft floor for unexpected falls. There's swings, a rock wall, slides, and a picnic area.
Very beautiful and quite area. Playground is in good condition, the restrooms were maintained well and the picnic area provided plenty of shade.
Great place to take my grandkids. Playground areas very nice, has plenty of shade.
I came here to this park as a kid around the ages of 7+ and now I absolutely enjoy anytime that I do get to bring my 5yr old son here to play. I love how it’s a 2for1 … Get you some park time in, & then before leaving you can as well walk down the pier and enjoy the peacefulness of what the calm Lake Robinson water can do for one’s soul. Me and my little boy like to bring any of our old bread or anything like so, and throw it out for the ducks to snack on..Even though we hardly ever see any of the ducks LoL …We’ve never checked out any of the ball courts but from afar they seem to be in good decent playing condition and all.. And there’s always multiple people on them doing their thang and playing their sports. I don’t have much bad to say about this park. But I guess the thing I would have to most definitely comment is that at night time..Yes me & my boy sometimes maybe 2or3x a year will go get a late night snack like ice cream or something & my child always wants to go sit at the park eating our late night snack and then play for a few minutes and then leave.. But at night time, the Roaches are so bad out there that it’s almost impossible to even enjoy any parts of being at the park. Yes they are literally that bad! Every step you take..A roach. Every Where you appear, a Roach also appears. It’s so bad I won’t be going back with my son anymore, Ever again for our little “Mama/Son late night snackie snack …it’s just not even worth it trying to have fun while nearly walking all over roaches every step that’s taken. But other than this one thing, it’s a great place for parties For the younger kids..and also for parents to bring their children to let loose and run out some of their natural energy Restrooms: It’s literally a hit or miss. The restroom is 1 unisex small bathroom and lately it doesn’t smell so pleasant and I’m sorry but that’s not okay..Maybe need more frequent cleanings and more being checked on than what it’s being done currently..idk something.. Also right outside the bathroom, is the water fountain that does NOT ever work at all. But in these hot hot hot summer days, some good cold water from a fountain would be hitting the jackpot to anyone running around and playing at that park!
Walked here from our hotel and a very nice park, beautiful walkway along the water and we saw a turtle as well. Was very quiet on a Sunday morning.
Lovely park on the lake with play area for kids, tennis courts, canoe launch and docks, picnic areas and a two story building from the 1930s all well maintained and attractively decorated with lots of greenery and flowers.
Nice little park with some open shore line and dock for fishing. Cute playground for the kids and a couple of tennis courts.
Lawton Park is lovely. They have a nice playground and the park is breezy and shady in the evening. Great location to have a picnic with the kids.
Great park for kids of all ages and parents. Lots of different playground equipment including climbing structures, swings, etc. Also has plenty of seating for parents, grandparents, or anyone who just needs a break. Nice covered area with benches & picnic tables so you can bring snacks/lunch for the kids and have a nice place to eat it. And park has a decent bathroom facility -- huge feature if you have littles!!!! Backdrop is the lake and there's a couple docks to walk out on. ***Side note***there is a shallow area near the small dock but DO NOT enter the water....*** There are also a few decent tennis courts opposite the playground area. Overall, a nice, busy but peaceful park off the main road. My grands really enjoy this park!!!
Good place to launch for Kayaking the Black River. Fun paddling between all the Cyprus trees growing out of the river.
